Beyond Mankind: The Awakening Preview – How Will You Survive?

Beyond Mankind: The Awakening is an Action RPG, set on a post-apocalyptic Earth and is developed and published by Brytenwalda. You are tasked with reclaiming Earth and taking it back for the humans of both the Mars and the Moon colonies. Can you create your perfect human by using DNA, memories and other biological enhancements? Create the perfect human in Beyond Mankind: The Awakening Being a complex game about mankind's future I was looking forward to creating my own genetic pool. As well as the survival aspects of taking care of temperature levels, hunger and thirst that was hopefully going to make for a challenging experience. Gameplay Starting up Beyond Mankind I was struggling with it lagging throughout and frames dropping to 30-45fps at best. You are given a 10-15 min tutoria...

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Postponed Again

Following a statement released on Twitter today, publishers Paradox Interactive have made the decision to change developers.  They assure us that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is still in development but is no longer being developed by Hardsuit Labs.  With no end date specified, as a result, they have stopped accepting pre-orders. Paradox went on to say "We have also decided that Hardsuit Labs will no longer be leading the development of Bloodlines 2, and we have started a collaboration with a new studio partner to finish work on the game. This has been a difficult decision, but we are convinced that it is the right way forward to do the game justice." As yet, we do not know who the new developer will be.  They did thank the former developers for all their hard work in layin...

Dry Drowning Review – Dive Into This Neo-Noir Thriller

Dry Drowning is a noir psychological thriller video game delivered as an interactive visual novel. I was glad the drowning is metaphorical, alluding to surviving in this dystopian metropolis. This the debut title for developers Studio V in partnership with publishers VLG & Badland Publishing. Dry Drowning puts you into the (gum) shoes of Mordred Foley, a disgraced police officer turned private detective. A case turned sour and left Hera as his only remaining friend and support. The city of Nova Polemos I found is in a dystopian future which has devolved following an extreme political party being elected. Said party seeking to remove "unwanted" people including Mordred's partner Hera. It is set in the year 2066 so is a not-so-distant version of a possible future. The political...

Nioh 2: The Complete Edition Review – Nioh… Far… Wherever You Are

Nioh 2: The Complete Edition is the sequel to the already pretty incredible Nioh, released in 2017. Developed by Team Ninja, Nioh 2 takes the base the first game had already lain down and builds onto it, by adding extra mechanics to an already complex game. Originally released on the Playstation 4, this review is going to be about the PC complete edition. Nioh 2: The Complete Edition - A devilishly good time. As the first Nioh was one of my top games of 2017, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and see what new tasty bits they've added. At the time of writing, Nioh 2: The Complete Edition is available for purchase on Steam, and includes 3 DLC packs, absolutely stuffing the game with content to get through. Let's get down to the guts of it, shall we? Gameplay Nioh 2: CE is a third-per...

Yaga is developed by Breadcrumbs Interactive and published by Versus Evil best known for the Banner Saga Trilogy. Bad Luck Brings Great Fortune To The Worthy in Yaga I was so eager to get my hands on Yaga, having played lots of games with Baba Yaga in. I was also very intrigued to discover the difficulty of this action rpg and hoping to get immersed in Yaga's world. Gameplay Yaga has a personality based system with each action having a consequence; will you build a fortune or be self-righteous? But, For every decision, a good and bad comes from your actions.
