Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt is the debut foray into AAA games for Swedish company Sharkmob. It is an online multiplayer third-person battle royale taking place in Prague, Czech Republic. Fighting through the city and the only rule is to keep your existence a secret, the titular masquerade. I didn't come across any plot for the game but it is faithful to the World of Darkness setting. Definitely inspired by games like Apex Legends and PUBG, Bloodhunt however is like their goth cousin. Going it alone or in a trio, fighting to be the last vampire standing, and maintaining the masquerade is all that matters. Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt - Something to Sink Your Teeth Into I kept up on news and other player's thoughts and I found there was some disappointment. Many people were expe...

Super Arcade Football Review

Welcome to my review of Super Arcade Football. It is self-published and developed by OutOfTheBit Limited (Super Arcade Racing, Wild Baffo). Super Arcade Football is available now on PC, Apple iOS, and the Google Play Store for Android. It is a retro-inspired football game that pays homages to the classic Sensible Soccer. Super Arcade Football Smashes It Into The Back Of The Net! Will Super Arcade Football win the league? Or will it be relegated to the bottom of the pile? Continue reading to find out. Check out my previous review here where I played the long-awaited King's Bounty II. Gameplay So straight off the bat (or ball?), we are introduced to our main character in the game who is coincidentally named Martin. That is the default name of our protagonist and can not be changed. I jus...

Deflection Review

Deflection, by one-man indie studio Coreffect Interactive, is a turn-based chess game with a rather neat strategic twist. Featuring laser turrets and pieces that can alter the way that the laser distributes across the board it is up to you to destroy your opponent's King. Deflection - Laser-Guided Turn-Based Fun With its roots in the abstract game of Khet, will Deflection be a nod to the classic or a portal to travesty? Read on! Gameplay When I was a lot younger than I am now I can fondly remember spending a lot of time playing Laser Chess on the Atari ST.  Although the gameplay back then was a top-down 2d version, the concept was the same as Deflection. Against an AI, local or online user, you battle it out on the game board with the sole goal to defeat your opponent's King.  Takin...

Dice Legacy Review

Dice Legacy takes tabletop games in digital form to a whole new level. It uses dice-based mechanics to gather resources, defend your settlement, and expand into the unknown while also being a challenging survival city builder. It is developed by DESTINYbit (Empires Apart) and published by Ravenscourt (Redeemer, Road 96, Kona). Dice Legacy was released on September 9th, 2021 on PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic as well on Nintendo Switch. Dice Legacy is a Challenge in Strategy and Luck One of the biggest problems I find with tabletop games is that reading through the instructions for most of them seems to take forever. Even after reading them, I usually still have no idea what I'm doing and learn best by playing. Dice Legacy does just that; gives you the tips and info you need for gameplay ...

IS IT A BIRD? IS IT A PLANE? NO, IT'S A UFO I love city builders, the fact they're the perfect game to play when you want to chill out and don't want to do anything competitively. Let us know in the comments if you have played Tinytopia, or what your thoughts are. Gameplay There is nothing complicated about Tinytopia's gameplay. Each level is mostly the same, achieving a population goal or, constructing "...

Malum Review

Releasing September 2nd with a retail of £3.99, Malum is a cooperative horror survival game for up to 4 players, Developed and published by MalumGames. Malum features procedural puzzles which players must solve while being stalked by a range of gruesome monsters. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope! Whether it's a scream, a shout, or a little cry.. we all have our own way of expressing fear, our own little quirk. For me it's repeatedly saying "Nope!" while running in the opposition direction, and that's something I did ALOT during this game. What's your quirk? Let me know in the comments below. Gameplay First of all, the game is very simple in its design - something that I feel is reflected in the £3.99 price tag - we'll circle back to this later. It appears to have been built atop an Unreal ...
