Conway: Disappearance At Dahlia View Review

Conway: Disappearance at Dahlia View, by devs White Paper Games, is a dark detective thriller.  Set in 1950's England you play as retired detective Robert Conway.  The game is available now on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. Conway: A Spectacular Who-Dunnit! I do enjoy a game with an enthralling storyline, let's get sleuthing!  If you enjoy this review check out my others here! Gameplay In a nutshell, Conway is a point-and-click adventure-style game.  As the story begins (and I promise no spoilers), you discover that a crime has happened within the private estate below your flat.  Your character, a wheelchair-bound Robert Conway gets his camera and begins to survey the scene.  Using your mouse you navigate the camera lens around while zooming in and out using the keyboard.  As yo...

Demon Turf Review

Demon Turf is an exciting 3D platformer from developer Fabraz and publisher Playtonic Friends. Fabraz has been incredibly busy making Demon Turf available on the 4th November 2021 on PC (Steam, Epic Store, and GOG), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch. From the moment I saw the trailer, I knew I wanted to review Demon Turf. It looked like a mad scientist had crossed Mario 64 with Jet Set Radio. These are two of my favourites, so I couldn't wait to see the result and jumped at the opportunity to try the Steam version. So does it live up to my lofty expectations? Find out below in my Demon Turf review. Demon Turf - Can Beebz capture the Demon King's crown? Our heroine Beebz is a 1000-year-old demon who wants to become the Demon Queen. To do so, she must conquer four Turfs, overt...

Model Builder Preview

Model Builder by developers Moonlit and Kuba Wójcik is, as it sounds, a model building simulator.  Everyone at some time in their life has probably built a model, with varying outcomes.  Published by Green Man Gaming will this be a tedious affair or a total breeze? Model Builder - 0% Chance of Gluing Fingers Together! I am quietly optimistic, having reviewed Balsa Model Flight Simulator recently.  If you like what you read, give the demo a chance over in the Steam store! Gameplay Before I start I will say that there was a disclaimer that it was a game in progress therefore I will concentrate on the main gameplay and only report if there are any game-breaking bugs. From the off, you can select from a campaign and sandbox mode.  Sandbox needs no intro therefore it was straight ont...

Back 4 Blood – Team Review

Its time for another TC Group review, and this time it's Back 4 Blood that gets the treatment! Check out what the members of the TC team thought of this from developers, Turtle Rock Studios. What We Thought Martin During my playtime of the beta of Back 4 Blood open beta, I did not enjoy this game. However, upon playing the game on full release I can safely say that I was very wrong with my opinion. Back 4 Blood is a brilliant game. The gunplay is great, each weapon feels completely different, and the tools and accessories you can use vary quite a lot. The horde of Ridden charging at you is intense and will get you sitting on the edge of your seat especially when the "Special Ridden" come for you. These range from massive "Exploders" who are actually more dangerous when they get kille...

Killsquad Review

Killsquad, a co-op action hack and slash, is boiling to a full release on October 21, 2021. The genre-blending game developed and published by Novarama has been in Early Access on Steam since July of 2019. Over the course of these two years and change, the developers have been listening closely to feedback from the community. At this point there have been 16 major updates and they don't intend on stopping anytime soon. Killsquad will initially only be available on Steam but Novarama is planning for a PS4 and PS5 release as well. Gun, Run And Carve Your Way Through The Galaxy In Killsquad I recall seeing Killsquad when it initially hit Early Access on Steam in the summer of 2019. I don't recall why I put off playing it until recently though. Perhaps it was due to the unpleasant taste that...

Coffee Noir Review

Coffee Noir is part business management game and part detective novel. Developed and published by NAOS Software and DOJI, the game is available now for the PC on Steam.  Set in an alternate reality 2021 in Neo-London, Coffee Noir harkens back to the film noir detective movies of the 1940s. Now, I love a good detective story, so I was really keen to review this game. Put on a fresh pot of coffee, sit in your comfy armchair, and enjoy our Coffee Noir review.
