Youtubers Life 2 Review

Youtubers Life 2 is a single-player life simulator from Spanish developer U-Play Online & Raiser Games. U-Play also made 2017's Youtubers Life and also brought us Esports Life Tycoon. After character creation, the game starts with an invitation to live in the fictional NewTube City. Home to a community of YouTubers, you choose which type of content you want to create and record your way to the top. Youtubers Life 2 is similar to the original game and the world expands outside the character's home. I and my drone companion could take photos and film vlogs outside too. There are also quite a few pop culture references and some tongue-in-cheek humour to be found. Interacting with the other residents of NewTube City is a major part of the game. I even ended up meeting real-life YouTuber...

Train Station Renovation - Rushing Not Required. After you've read my review of Train Station Renovation, you can check out my previous review here, where I played Just Die Already also on the Xbox Series S. UPDATE Train Station Renovation has now been released on the PlayStation 4 and is just as fun as it is on the Xbox One. It's the same game as below, and just as relaxing! Gameplay We start off Train Station ...

NBA 2K22 Review

With the launch of NBA 2K22 from Visual Concepts, what is new for this edition, and is it a slam dunk for the basketball simulation? NBA 2K22 - seeking perfection As with most annual sporting releases, the updates made to the previous year's edition are very minor. 2021's edition, which you can read up on here, was all about the jump to the Next-gen of consoles and taking advantage of the super-fast load times as well as graphical improvements, NBA 2K22 is no different and takes full advantage of these technological advances. Other gameplay updates are much more subtle and you may struggle to spot them. Gameplay Updates The last edition of NBA 2K game I played was the 2020 version and the gameplay has always been of the highest standard.  This didn't stop certain players from feelin...

Golf Club: Wasteland Review

Post-apocalyptic golf sim Golf Club: Wasteland comes from developer Demagog Studio and publisher Untold Tales. I first became aware of this game through being in the Untold Tales Discord server following reviewing Beautiful Desolation (review here). From then I kept my eye on it and even had a question answered in a Q&A with the developers, which you can find on the Untold Tales YouTube page. The clean and low-detail aesthetic of the game grabbed my attention right from the unveil and can't wait to jet-pack my way around the golf course. Golf Club: Wasteland - Fancy a back 9 on the 3rd rock? If I was to take the Earth and repurpose it, post-apocalypse, for the ultra-wealthy, I'd have settled on a hunting reserve. What could you imagine the husk of our planet being used for when it is...

Lawn Mowing Simulator Review

After the buzz of the Lawn Mowing Simulator Demo, which when released garnered over 250,000 downloads, Lawn Mowing Simulator is finally here in a full release. Does it live up to its demo hype or is it another in a long list of tedious niche sims? Curve Digital and Skyhooks Games created a huge noise during this phase. They now have to deliver on the full release. Carry on reading to find out what I thought of the game in my first ever simulator review! Lawn Mower Simulator - Watch out for that Gnome! Now, this is the first-ever simulation game I've reviewed, and based on the other TC crews' thoughts around the demo I was genuinely excited to get stuck into Lawn Mowing Simulator. Fort Triumph Review

Developed and published by CookieByte Entertainment, Fort Triumph is a fantasy-style turn-based strategy game. Released on the 13th of August 2021 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. You are tasked with leading a band of heroes with different skill sets through a witty, parody fantasy plot. Missions with various objectives are waiting for you on tiled procedural maps—whether in story mode or skirmish. So prepare yourself in this Fort Triumph Xbox One Review. Fort Triumph - Lord of the Rings Meets XCOM I always get a little excited when I see that a game has taken inspiration from the juggernaut that is XCOM. Also on the other hand I just think that it's going to be just another clone. But these types of games are always aliens or have a space theme. It's interesting to see ...
