Developed by Sean Young and published by SmashGames. Littlewood is a peaceful and relaxing RPG. It was released on the Nintendo Switch and PC on August 4th, 2020. So let's get building shall we and take a look at this Littlewood Nintendo Switch Review. Littlewood Nintendo Switch Review Over the last couple of years, there has been a surge of little RPG simulating games that have taken gamers by storm. With the likes of Stardew Valley and Story of Seasons on the tips of everyone's tongue when it comes to this kind of genre. Every now and then a little indie game will come through the cracks and take everyone by surprise. Is Littlewood one of those games? Before We Leave Review

Before We Leave is a city building game set in a remote corner of the universe. Developed by Balancing Monkey Games and published by Team17, it sees you rebuild your civilisation and settle on new lands, with the goal to leave one planet and travel to the next whilst avoiding the mythical hungry Space Whales! Skies the limit! As a fan of the original Age of Empires games, I was keen to get stuck into this twist on the genre. Check out what I thought of Before We Leave below, and follow it up by reading some of the TC Crew's previous Xbox game reviews here. Gameplay Before We Leave is a non-violent settle game, where you build cities on various planets across the universe, with the main goal to build successful and safe settlements for the Peeps, the in-game inhabitants of the unive...

Lacuna Review

Let's cut right to the chase. Lacuna on PS4/PS5 is glorious. This sci-fi noir adventure feels like a spiritual successor to Police Quest, one of my favourite Sierra Games series from the late 80's/early 90's. It builds on the tropes of the genre, pairs it with excellent writing and establishes its own spin on the point and click adventure.  Lacuna - Point The Finger Tiny German developer DigiTales Interactive released Lacuna on PC back in May 2021 and this much anticipated console release is published by Assemble Entertainment. Available on Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, this indie title comes in at 2GB install size on PS4. Happy’s Humble Burger Farm Review

Happy's Humble Burger Farm, you would be forgiven just going by the title that this was a game similar to Team 17's smash title Overcooked. Do You Want Fries With That? However other than the cooking, it is where the similarities end. A stressful horror game that places you in the world of a quick time service restaurant. Scythe Dev Team has taken all the horror that only those who have worked in that industry will truly appreciate and dialled it up to 11. Released December 3rd for Playstation and Xbox consoles alongside a PC release. Happy's Humble Burger Farm was on my list of games to play as it kind of reminded me of Five Nights at Freddys.  Gameplay Congratulations you've been hired to run the night shift of your local Happy's Humble Burger Farm restaurant. This first-perso...

Unplugged Review

Developed by Anotherway and published by Vertigo Games (known for Arizona Sunshine and After The Fall) Unplugged is a game that brings out your inner Wyld Stallyn. Death to all BUTT metal! I am not going to lie, when I found out about this title I was blown away with excitement. Guitar hero was one of my favourite music sim titles, and I love beat saber. Unplugged VR combines the two and I am hoping it brings its AAA game! Gameplay Unplugged is a VR title that brings you a guitar experience like no other. Obviously, there are other games that are similar, but the mechanics of Unplugged put this in a league of its own. To start off with it uses hand tracking, so there is no controller! Which on hearing about I was unnerved. However, I have to say works really well. I found it hard to ge...

Battlefield 2042 Review

Well, it's finally here. The latest instalment of the Battlefield series has come to life with Battlefield 2042. Despite the new venue for vehicular and infantry combat, the Battlefield games are known for, it has been met with some harsh criticism from long-time fans of the series. Some feel that DICE has made poor development decisions with some of its changes to the game. Others believe that DICE took Battlefield 2042 out of the oven too soon due to deadlines set by publisher Electronic Arts. Regardless, Battlefield 2042 is currently available for purchase on PC via Steam, Origin, and Epic as well as Xbox Series X/S/One and PlayStation 5/4. Much like my bullets, Battlefield 2042 misses the mark I have been a fan of the Battlefield series since I built my first PC in college and picked...

Rover Mechanic Simulator Review

As a kid growing up I was always fascinated by space and the exploration of far off worlds. So with the release of Rover Mechanic Simulator on PS4 and having never tried a simulator before, it was time to channel my inner Mark Watney and take my first small step into the larger world of simulation games. Houston, we have a problem Rover Mechanic Simulator is the latest in a slew of SIM games from Polish developer Pyramid Games. It's a single-player title where you assume the role of an engineer on one of the first Mars colonies. Your main responsibility is the analysis, repair and maintenance of the real life NASA Mars rover vehicles - Curiosity, Opportunity, Sojourner, Spirit and Ingenuity. Published by Ultimate Games this PS4 release comes in at 2.22GB and works in backwards compatibil...

Beyond Blue by developers E-Line Media allows you to explore the oceans through the eyes of your playable character Mirai. Set in the near future with some interesting tech toys to play with, this is certainly a game with a big message behind it. Learn About The Oceans With Beyond Blue Time to don my diving gear and take to the crystal clear ocean, wish me luck! Remember to follow Thumb Culture for all things gaming and tech! Gameplay Beyond Blue is far from an arcade game and lies more in the simulation genre.
