Chernobylite Review

Chernobylite is a single-player, science fiction survival video game developed by The Farm 51 and published by All In! Games. The game is out now on PC for £23.99 and is coming to PlayStation 4 & Xbox in September 2021 and next-gen consoles are yet to be announced. AN ALTERNATIVE LOOK AT THE CHERNOBYL DISASTER! I have always been fascinated by the Chernobyl disaster and horror games. Discovering Chernobylite I was instantly drawn into the way The Farm 51 took this and made it a truly unique storyline and allowing players to visit Chernobyl in the comfort of their own homes. Follow me, as we embark on a grueling story of discovering what happened to Igor's Fiancée. Gameplay Chernobylite takes a lot of inspiration from the classic post-apocalyptic game setting, but they make ...

The Persistence Enhanced Review

The Persistence Enhanced a stealthy first-person shooter where you need to harvest the stem cells from your opponent's spine. Yes! you read that right, stem cells are the main requirement for progression within the game. Have you got the spine to survive this nightmare? Thank the team at Firesprite for sending the code for Persistence for an honest review of their title. I jumped at the chance to be thrown into space aboard a stranded ship with no engine, all while currently orbiting a black hole!! Playing the role of Security officer Zimri Elder, things are already stacked against you. In addition to this, you are dead along with the rest of The Persistence crew. Gameplay In a setting that reminded me of the 1997 film 'Event Horizon' the ship's cloning machines have gone into o...

Song Of Horror Review

The horror genre is a bit of a strange subject for me. I love horror in all media; movies (especially foreign), games, books, and so on. But, it's rare that something comes along that gets under my skin. I desperately want to feel fear as I play, yet few games have been able to satisfy my morbid hunger and my gluttony for gore. This is thanks in part to my wholely responsible father exposing me to movies like Aliens, Poltergeist, and Children of the Corn at the age of six. I can recall only one game that made me turn it off after every checkpoint because of the sheer anxiety it bestowed upon me. That game was Outlast. A game that can be done in one sitting, took me about 3 years to finish. But, I DID finish it. I still haven't played the DLC or the sequel...but I did finish the first ga...

Resident Evil Village Review

Resident Evil Village has finally released, we've played it, and we've completed it! Capcom are the developers and publishers behind this masterpiece. I had the absolute pleasure of playing this incredible game on the PlayStation 5. Resident Evil Village is set some three years after the Baker mansion setting in Resident Evil VII, also known as Resident Evil VII Biohazard. We take control of Ethan Winters again during Resident Evil Village. You seriously need to have played Resident Evil VII to be able to fully understand this game, a lot of the story will not make sense otherwise. Resident Evil Village - We're Not In Kansas Louisiana Anymore! So, is Resident Evil Village the end of Ethan Winters chapter in the Resident Evil Universe? You're not going to find that answer out here, we're ...

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition Review

Metro Exodus, the final part of the Metro video game trilogy. Based on the world created by Dmitry Glukhovsky's series of novels starting with Metro 2033. Glukhovsky also collaborated in developing the games. Part of a franchise including a Metro 2033 board game released in 2011 and a planned feature film. Continuing Artyom's story in this post-apocalyptic version of the world where nuclear war devastated the world and led to various monsters coming into existence. As well different factions including Communists, Neo-Nazis, neutral groups to gangs of bandits. Metro Exodus definitely got my tikhar going! Having never played any of the previous Metro titles I was extremely dubious about picking this up. Would I appreciate a storyline partway through? Also what have I missed out on already?...

I Saw Black Clouds - A New Take On The Creepy FMV As somebody who is a huge horror, psychological game, and movie fan this was right up my street.
