Clock Tower – Never Look At Scissors The Same Way

Day 6 of our 31 Days of Halloween we head back to the Playstation for the first time this October. We get our nappies at the ready because this one is a pure classic when it comes to horror games. If this gets you in the mood for some more horror then why not check out my previous horror game here. You can also check out what the rest of the Thumb Culture team are up to on our social media.

A little off the top, please.

Now there are many horror game villains that have graced our systems before. The likes of Pyramid Head, Nemesis, Jason Vorhees, and Freddy Krueger just to name a few. But the Scissorman in Clock Tower is a name that never comes up among the best.

I remember playing this as a young teenager and every time he appeared on screen it absolutely scared the life out of me. The way he moved, the sudden burst of speed, the size of the scissors. Everything would just send a shiver down my spine and just thinking about it. Gives me the creeps right now.

If you expect a game like Silent Hill or Resident Evil then you’d be disappointed. Although there are some similarities. The main difference is that Clock Tower is a point-and-click adventure. With a story that will keep you entertained and a video game horror villain that deserves more love. It’s easy to see why Clock Tower definitely belongs on our 31 Days of Halloween list. Have you ever heard of The Scissorman? Did he creep you out as a kid? If so then leave a comment. I would love to hear about it.
