Brought to us by developers 1C Publishing Eu (Ancestors Legacy, IL-2 Sturmovik) and publishers PrimeMatterGG (Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Wasteland 3). King's Bounty II is an adventure game with tactical roleplaying game elements. I played the Xbox One version of the game on Xbox Series X. King's Bounty II Tough Yet Rewarding Can we fight our way to glory in King's Bounty II? or will we fall to our knees at the swords of our foes? Continue reading to find out. If you enjoy this review, please check out my previous here where I played Rustler on the PlayStation 5. Let me know in the comments if you're going to purchase this game. Spelunker HD Deluxe Review

The Spelunker games are nearly as old as me, originally released in 1983. The game at its heart hasn't changed a massive amount as you walk, run and jump your way through cave systems.  Spelunker HD Deluxe is an update to Spelunker HD that was released on the Playstation 3. Published by ININ Games who actually focus on feel-good, and retro arcade games. Spelunker HD Deluxe - Stuck Between a Rock and a Hard Place If you like this review check out my previous review here where I played The Persistence Enhanced on the PlayStation 5. Let me know in the comments what you think of this review. Gameplay In the role of an adventurer, your goal is to get as deep into the cave system as possible. In your way stands snakes, ghosts, and a variety of fiendish traps. Adventure mode is where players ...

Hoa Review

Hoa is a puzzle-platforming game developed by Skrollcat Studio and published by PM Studios. Developed in the Unity engine, Hoa will release for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and XBox on August 24th, 2021. Feel like a kid again. Offering some incredibly imaginative and original design, get ready to lose yourself entirely as you enter a whole new world in Hoa. Exploring the game and taking in the scenery really brought a level of immersion that I've not felt in a long while. Let me know in the comments what you thought? The Innsmouth Case Review

The Innsmouth Case is a text-based, choose-your-own-adventure game based on The Shadow over Innsmouth by H.P. Lovecraft. The genre of Interactive Fiction is one of the oldest in video games, stretching back to the 1970s with Adventure. Technological advances mean these types of games are no longer restricted to a text-only experience and are often supplemented with images, animations and music.  Let's dive into Robot Pumpkin Games' horror comedy mystery adventure and see what's going on, shall we? The Innsmouth Case - There Cod Be Something Fishy Inn This Plaice I recently played Arcade Spirits, which is another example of an Interactive Fiction game and was very good. Other recent games include Doki Doki Literature Club+ and Overboard. Have you played any of these or others? Let us know...

Road 96 Review

The world of rogue-like games is ever-expanding and evolving, but I've never seen the concept used quite like this. Road 96 takes procedural generation, unlockable upgrades, and the concept of multiple playthroughs, and adapts them to a narrative-heavy adventure game. It comes from developer Digixart whose previous games were Lost in Harmony and 11-11 Memories Retold. With an authoritarian government in control of the country and the prospects of their future seeming bleaker and bleaker, teenagers are heading to the border in their droves. Can you help any of them make it past the border wall and security into a better country, a better life? While modern American political influences are seen in the game, the narrative was shaped from stories told by staff at 11 Bit Studios in Poland a...

Glitchpunk Early Access Review

Welcome to my review of one of the latest games to hit Steam Early Access, Glitchpunk. It is brought to us by developers Dark Lord and publishers Daedalic Entertainment (Deponia, Unrailed!, State of Mind). The game is a top-down shooter/fighter akin to classics such as GTA 2 on the PlayStation. You play as an android bounty hunter earning a few bucks from doing missions for gangs just to get by. Glitchpunk Takes Me Back To Those Classics Whilst Glitchpunk certainly has a classic top-down vibe to it, can it really keep you entertained long enough to want you coming back for more? Let's find out in my early access review. Check out my previous review here if you like this one. Gameplay Glitchpunk starts us off with a basic choice, which city to start on. This choice is very limited to on...

Seed of Life Review

Seed of Life, developed by MadLight studio and published by Leonardo Interactive, became available for purchase through Steam on Wednesday, August 11th, 2021. Though Wednesday releases aren't common, this game is fairly unique as well. Seed of Life is an action-adventure puzzle game that will have you asking how much it takes to save a planet. MadLight studio, a small indie developer from Spain, sets up Seed of Life to be a visually pleasing and emotional journey. Sometimes the Hardest Puzzles to Solve are the Easiest in Seed of Life Over my thirty-some years of gaming, I can't say puzzle games fall high up in my library. The two main ones that stand out in my mind are Portal and Portal 2. Both felt mostly like puzzle games with a bit of story. However, Seed of Life is much more of a...
