Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Review

After almost exactly 18 years Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KotOR) has come to the current generation of consoles. It is an RPG based in the sci-fi & fantasy universe of Star Wars. Developer & publisher Aspyr Media has brought a port of the original 2003 game made by developer Bioware and publisher Lucas Arts. The original KotOR was a great success, critically acclaimed and very popular even today. And of course having sequels and expansions, even comics and novels based on the setting. Taking place 4000 years before the Skywalker saga, the old republic is under threat from the sith and Jedi are on the brink. The player character wakes up without their memories and is pulled into the centre of the conflict. However, the choice of whether you save the galaxy or seek ult...

Check out my previous review here where I played To The Rescue! on PC.  If you would like to follow us on our social media accounts, you can find these are the bottom of the article. Gameplay The story of Okinawa Rush starts by introducing us to the notorious Black Mantis clan of ninja. They have...

Killsquad Review

Killsquad, a co-op action hack and slash, is boiling to a full release on October 21, 2021. The genre-blending game developed and published by Novarama has been in Early Access on Steam since July of 2019. Over the course of these two years and change, the developers have been listening closely to feedback from the community. At this point there have been 16 major updates and they don't intend on stopping anytime soon. Killsquad will initially only be available on Steam but Novarama is planning for a PS4 and PS5 release as well. Gun, Run And Carve Your Way Through The Galaxy In Killsquad I recall seeing Killsquad when it initially hit Early Access on Steam in the summer of 2019. I don't recall why I put off playing it until recently though. Perhaps it was due to the unpleasant taste that...

Undying Early Access Preview

Undying isn't your typical survival/crafting/zombie game. Developed by Vanimals and published by Skystone Games Inc (The Last Friend), Undying enters Early Access on Steam on October 19th, 2021. It has been in development over the past three years. Vanimals is hopeful for it to be in Early Access no longer than six months. The Early Access version of Undying consists of roughly the first half of the game. Vanimals is also planning for an eventual release to consoles as well. Undying - Complete a Mother's Undying Wish When I first heard about Undying, I wasn't certain I was ready to add yet another zombie apocalypse game to my library. There are just so many available out there with varying degrees of success. This becomes especially true when you add the "crafting" and "survival" tags to...

Diablo II Resurrected Review

If you were playing any looter game in the early 2000s, it was probably Diablo II. This game, back in the day, was considered a masterpiece and now it has a fresh coat of paint, and boy does it look good! I was studying in music college at the time and discovering new and old metal bands. These bands were my soundtrack to Diablo II, and they still are for Diablo II Resurrected. Many of my acquaintances had sunk thousands of hours into this genre-defining game, right up until the release of Diablo III. Diablo II Resurrected - "Not Even Death Can Save You From Me" As you probably know, Diablo II Resurrected is a role-playing ARPG developed and published by Blizzard. Vicarious Visions also had a hand in its development regarding the 3D implementation. Its original iteration was released in ...

Chernobylite Review

Developed and published by The Farm 51. Chernobylite is a survival horror RPG. It was released on the Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox One Series S/X, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2019. This Chernobylite Xbox One Review is one for the scare lovers out there. Chernobylite - I'm Still Shaking Now There's something about an open-world video game done in a first-person mode that always gets my attention. Maybe it's from being a fan of the Fallout series. Chernobylite was just one of those games I wasn't going to pass up. Especially with it having a horror vibe as well. So stay alert because this Chernobylite Xbox One Review is going to be a doozy. As usual, if you enjoyed this review then you can check out my latest one here. You can also check out what the rest of the Thumb Cul...

Xuan Yuan Sword 7 Review

Developed by DOMO Studios, SOFTSTAR, DOMO Production, and published by Yooreka Studio and EastSoftAsia. Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is an action roleplaying game that is rooted deep in Chinese history and mythology. Xuan Yuan Sword 7 - Sun Tzu Would Be Proud The fact that the Xuan Yuan Sword series has been around for 30 years and I've never heard of it has blown my mind. With this instalment being the first one to hit the west. I'm sure there will be many more fans of the franchise because it just seemed to be overshadowed by other RPG juggernauts like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. Maybe it's time for this game to step out of the shadows. As usual, if y0u enjoyed this review then you can check out my latest one here. Tails of Iron Review

Tails of Iron first appeared on my radar a couple of months ago and there were a few things that drew me to it initially. Firstly was its unique 2D art style, it reminded me of medieval tapestries and I love the medieval era. Secondly, the narrator kicked in and he happened to be the one and only Doug Cockle. You may know him as Geralt of Rivia (or RATvia now?) from The Witcher series. Lastly was how interesting the story sounded with the characters. The game arrived and the description said "punishingly brutal souls-like combat". Just those words sent a shiver up my spine, as it has taken me many attempts over five years to get past the first boss in Bloodborne. Nevertheless, I remained undeterred and couldn't wait to get into it. Tails of Iron - A True Hero's Tale Tails of Iron is a...

Witch Spring 3 - A Cute and Artsy JRPG Having spent a huge majority of my gaming life playing RPGs it came as no surprise that I would leap on the review for this. What is surprising is that I had never heard of WitchSpring before. Mainly because the first two installments were released on mobile with Witch Spring 3 being the first one to get a console release. So let us jump into this WitchSpring review on the Switch. If you enjoyed this little review then you can check...
