Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition Review

Metro Exodus, the final part of the Metro video game trilogy. Based on the world created by Dmitry Glukhovsky's series of novels starting with Metro 2033. Glukhovsky also collaborated in developing the games. Part of a franchise including a Metro 2033 board game released in 2011 and a planned feature film. Continuing Artyom's story in this post-apocalyptic version of the world where nuclear war devastated the world and led to various monsters coming into existence. As well different factions including Communists, Neo-Nazis, neutral groups to gangs of bandits. Metro Exodus definitely got my tikhar going! Having never played any of the previous Metro titles I was extremely dubious about picking this up. Would I appreciate a storyline partway through? Also what have I missed out on already?...

In Retrospect Preview – Where Will Your Life Take You?

In Retrospect by devs Paper Salamander Games is a side-scrolling 16-bit inspired music action platform game that uses your life to create the levels.  Currently, in demo form over on Steam, this is certainly not the usual run-of-the-mill get from start to finish game that I was expecting. Gameplay At the start of In Retrospect you wake up in a heavenly looking place whereby you are asked and reassured by another character, named Dee, as to how you are.  What ensues is a number of fairly easy levels as you learn the basic controls of the game.  Your character is continually moving forward, leaving you to time jumps and glides in order to avoi...

CryoFall Review – Minecraft…IN SPACE

What do you get when you combine Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, and Minecraft, all set in the far reaches of the galaxy, you get Cryofall. After the release of Atomic Torch Studio's first open-world sci-fi game VoidExpanse, they introduce to us their new creation in the science fiction genre. On an unknown planet, you take control of a player of any likeness you choose and set out on a journey to build and conquer.  CryoFall - The game where you can mine for treasure and build epic houses but run away at the slightest sign of danger I have never played any games like this before and I feel like this is a good introduction, especially coming from a sci-fi fan like me. Since this is an indie company's third game, I wanted to give them some slack. They're new to this so I don't want to be to...

Out of Line Preview – Sharp Visuals, Sharper Puzzles.

Out of Line is an upcoming 2D side-scrolling puzzle game developed by Nerd Monkeys and published by Haninh Games. It is due out on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch this year. Playing through the preview the game gave me Inside/Limbo vibes in a big way. I dare say that if you enjoyed those games, this is going to be a must-play for you when it releases. Out of Line - Exploring, San's memory. Play as San as he attempts to escape the factory he once called home. Judging from the trailer, the story will revolve around uncovering memories and discovering the truth about who you are as you journey eventually, hopefully, to freedom. Gameplay In Out of Line, San's primary talent is a spear throw. Along with the standard sideways movement and jump, your puzzle-solving is achieved via a combo o...
