Razer Huntsman Review – Opto-Mechanical Wonder

Razer recently announced some new technology in their keyboards with the Huntsman and the Huntsman Elite. We were lucky enough to get our hands on the lesser spotted version and here we are with our review of the Razer Hunstman Opto-Mechanical Keyboard. In The Box As always we start with what you get in the box, and simply put, you get the Huntsman keyboard and the usual welcome to the Razer family note, letting you know that you are now "One Of Us" Diving deeper into the box you find the keyboard on its lovely braided USB cable, with its high quality aluminium top plate letting you know straight away that what you have your hands on is a high quality keyboard. Features So what features does the Huntsman have that other keyboards don't? Well I'm glad that you asked that. Well fo...

Razer Kiyo Webcam Review – Lighten Up

Webcams come in all shapes and sizes, and with the Razer Kiyo Webcam you get a sleek package with a great single feature that might persuade you to part with your hard earned money. Lets dive into this review and find out! In The Box So as always you get the Welcome to the Razer message in the box before you unveil the lovely Kiyo. The unboxing of a Razer product is always a joy and the Kiyo is no exception, you know you are going to be using a great piece of kit. Features So when you first get the Kiyo out of the box you might notice something different about it. There is a great big light ring around the circumference of the webcam. This gives off an even and flattering light that helps to illuminate you without having a multi light setup. Plus turn the light ring and you can ...

Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! Review – Pile of Mash or Roasty Goodness?

A game about potato people.  Seriously is this really a thing?  I remember Rimmer from the TV show Red Dwarf talking about the "king of the potato people" but has the delusion finally become a reality?...well in a way yes, yes it has! Fresh out on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! is a very strange simulation game developed by Daylight Studios based in Singapore, whereby you manage a team of potato people who work in a weapon forge.  Here you oversee the forging and selling of their wares to other potato folk who are looking for the right weapon for the quest they are undertaking.  I really couldn't make this up, this is an "emerging genre" according to the press kit! Gameplay You control a potato who has inherited a weapon forge from his late grandfather and...

Operation Warcade: War, what is it good for? PSVR apparently!

Back in the mists of time (well the 1980's) before the arrival of the home computer the only place to play the latest video games was the local arcade. Developers Ivanovich Games have attempted to recapture this nostaligia with Operation Warcade. Following a successful debut on Occulus and Vive, Perp Games have now published Operation Warcade on PSVR. Those of us of a certain age will remember the arcade classic Operation Wolf and it is very obvious that Operation Warcade is a homage to this classic shoot em up. From the virtual UZI 9mm submachine gun to the 80's style arcade graphics the game is a love letter to the arcade games of our youth. So nostalgia aside is Operation Warcade worth your virtual quarters? Gameplay You start the game in the aforementioned virtual 80's arcade sta...

18 Floors Review – Puzzle Solving VR Stylee

For those of you who have played through this game, you’ll realise that the title of this game may be the biggest puzzle of all, but more on that later. 18 Floors is a Virtual Reality locked room puzzler from Aoga Tech (Developer) and Shanghai Wishing Entertainment Limited (Publisher). There are no spoilers in this review, but I will mention some of the gameplay method. It is available on HTC VIVE, Oculus Rift and the platform I played it on, PSVR. The one thing that everybody seems to know about this game is that the title is grossly misleading. There are 2 floors in this version and on completion it says there are more to follow. It would be easy to immediately dismiss this game as unfinished and underdeveloped just to get a Dev credit out there, but to do so would ignore the qual...

Rainbow Skies PS4 Review – Play the Rainbow

After 6 years SideQuest Studios have finally given us the sequel to Rainbow Moon with Rainbow Skies. I think the biggest question I had going into this review was: Bigger and better platform, will we get a bigger and better game? To answer that question simply... Yes, in almost every department. Personally I didn’t spend much time with Rainbow Moon. If I’m completely honest I lost interest in it pretty early on. I will hold my hands up here and say at the time I wasn’t really enjoying RPG games very much so it could have been wrong place at the wrong time more than a bad reflection on the game... But I digress. Rainbow Skies is a much more rounded game with a strong narrative that keeps you playing. I have already found myself looking at the clock to see huge chunks of time disapp...

Smoke and Sacrifice Review – More like Rage, Smoke and Sacrifice

O man that looks like a cool area -dead, reload save- O wow look at that creature I wonder what it -dead, reload save- ALRIGHT WE ARE GONNA STAND STILL! -dead, reload save-.....Welcome to the wonderful world of Smoke and Sacrifice developed by Solar Sail Studio and published by Cure Digital of the Nintendo Switch and on Steam. Pull up your chair, ready your eyes, and lets dive into my review!   Smoke and Sacrifice is a top down, survival, crafting, open world, don't die, narrative driven RPG. You start off the game as the female protagonist Sachi working in a field. You are told to go fetch your child for the rite of the first born. Already in my head I know nothing good is coming from this. From that point on the story is bleak and dark because you sacrifice your first born to th...

Razer Seiren X Gaming Microphone Review – Testing Testing 1, 2, 3

So we recently got our hands on the Razer Seiren X Gaming microphone and put it to work straight away. In The Box So as always with every Razer product, the unboxing is a very nice experience. Sliding back the flaps....on the box you are greeted with the standard "Welcome to the Razer Family" message, underneath you find the Razer Seiren X microphone, sitting there all pristine and delicious. Its cylindrical shape and solid metal base gives that premium feel, so when its sitting in front of you on your desk, you know you are in for a treat of an experience. Setting Up Setting up the Razer Seiren X couldn't be easier. Screw the base into the main unit, unless you are going to mount it on a boom arm, then using the bundled USB cable, you just stick it in.....Let your computer do its thin...

Lust For Darkness – PC Review – Enter deep into the unknown, very deep.

Movie Games Lunarium bring us Lust For Darkness, an immersive puzzle based story driven quest for …. well something. I don't want to give too much away. So without further ado I shall don my strap-on and zip up my gimp mask ready for an adventure into the unknown. Maybe. Gameplay After a brief warning about epilepsy and a suggestion of 'playing at night with headphones on for a more immersive experience' you find yourself in a locked room. Incidentally, I didn't play at night in a darkened room with headphones on. My initial reaction to that was F**k that. It was the sensible and recommended option for those who like peaceful sleep. Movement is the standard mouse to look around and WASD to move around. Lust For Darkness has done something rather unusual when interacting with objec...
