DIRT 5 Returns To Italy For Ultra Cross Pack Racing

The latest DIRT 5 gameplay gives a first look at the Rally Cross class, featuring official FIA World Rallycross vehicles. The footage shows off more Ultra Cross action: technical and twisting circuit-based events to DIRT 5, ideal for agile and compact machines like the World RX roster. This Ultra Cross event takes place in Italy, weaving around iconic monuments and natural obstacles for heart-stopping racing moments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEg1JP66lyo&feature=emb_logo Robert Karp, DIRT 5 Development Director, says: “Italy has proved to be an incredible setting for racing. Carving out routes within a quarry, an abandoned marble mine, and underneath the stunning Ponti di Vara bridges challenged the team, but players will love the experience." “Having FIA World Rallycros...

Gameplay Ride 4 sees you select from any one of 30 tracks and roads as well as pick out your insanely engineered choice of over 230 licensed two-wheeled rockets to ride on.  For a series that has been going since 2015, there is clearly enough of a fan base to keep on evolving the game, attracting loyal fans and newcomers alike. Ride 4 features a whole host of game modes to keep you entertained, from career, race, time attack and endurance to online multiplayer.  I will say that at the time of writing that the multiplayer feature was not currently active as the game had not been released yet.  Overall the menu is easy to navigate and you c...

Tennis World Tour 2 – Grand Slam Or Double Fault?

Tennis and video games haven't had the greatest relationship over the years.  In fact, the only good ones seem to have 'Mario' or 'Virtua' in the title.  The last tennis game I played was Virtual Open Tennis 24 years ago on the Sega Saturn.  It wasn't great.  Tennis World Tour 2 is the follow-up to the tragic Tennis World Tour released in 2018.  Tennis World Tour 2 will release on PC, PS4, Xbox One on 24th September, and on Switch at a later date.  Developed by Big Ant Studios who bring experience to the court having worked on the AO Tennis series.  Once again, published by Nacon, will they serve up an ace or will it be a double fault? Gameplay With a new developer at the helm, this brings a new game engine as well.  This means improved animations, more of them and an overall better ...

eFootball PES 2021 Season Update – And Breathe

Welcome to another football game from Konami, right off the bat we know that this version of PES is purely an update from the 2020 version of the game, just with updated player data and player rosters. Now while people will be screaming saying that it's just an update of the previous years game blah blah blah. Isn't that what people have been asking for though? Rather than a full-price new game each year, give us an update to the previous year and roll on a 2 yearly cycle for new games. Konami has done just that, granted the next generation of consoles and PC hardware being released may have made them make this decision and concentrate on dropping the mother of all football game in 2021 on the new systems, only time will tell I guess. For now, let's concentrate on what you can expect when ...

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2 – Grind Straight Into The Action In This Thrilling Remaster!

Before Activision had Call of Duty as their yearly release, Tony Hawk Pro Skater was their pride & joy. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 is the latest remaster on the market, Activision & Vicarious Visions have come together to produce this masterpiece. These games were originally released in 1999 & 2000, the series has gone on from there though with many more games added to their list. The latest Tony Hawk game before this was a disaster so much improvement was needed. The game is available now on PC, PlayStation & Xbox. Gameplay If any of you ever played the originals of these games you know it was a time sinker. Whether it be grinding all the levels or creating your own park. The gameplay is a serious improvement on the last Tony Hawk Pro Skater, with the game...

Hotshot Racing – Drifting All The Way To The Podium!

Somebody hit the turbo button on the indie scene a few years ago now and kicked it into high gear.  It has flourished wheel to wheel along with retro gaming, so naturally, new retro-inspired games are a big thing.  Hotshot Racing is a nostalgic love letter to the 90s arcade racing games.  Developed by Lucky Mountain Games and Sumo Digital, who have a fine racing pedigree including Outrun 2, TOCA 3, DiRT 2, F1 2011, and Forza Horizon 2 to name a few.  Published by Curve Digital who specialise in indie games, Hotshot Racing is a very British affair and will be power sliding onto consoles and PC on September 10th.  Now its time to reminisce about skipping school to go to the arcade and pumping 50p coins into Daytona USA. Disclaimer: Thumb Culture does not in any way condone skipping school...

Time to channel your inner Justin Thomas with PGA Tour 2K21! PGA Tour 2K21 is the latest golf game on the market from publishers 2K and developed by HB Studios Multimedia Ltd and is the first golf game from 2K and the first official PGA Tour video game since 2015.  Out now on PC, XBOX & PS4, let's see if PGA Tour 2K21 is on par! Gameplay First off just want to say a massive well done 2K & HB, they have nailed this game. PGA Tour 2k21 includes plenty of tutorials for newcomers to the games, shot suggestions and even a putting guide that will show you exactly where your putt will go, as long as you hit the power correctly. You can switch this off depending on your ability to read the greens and give yourself more of a challenge, kind of like the EA Sports Golf games used to hav...
