Ghostwire: Tokyo Review

Ghostwire: Tokyo is the new action-adventure from Developer Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks Releasing as a 1 year timed exclusive on Playstation 5 and PC. Ghostwire: Tokyo - Hauntingly Beautiful Originally announced at E3 in June 2019, it caught my attention. Now that I've recovered from my reaction to Avengers EndGame, I can move like Doctor Strange! At least, that was my first reaction. It was not until Microsoft acquired Bethesda in September 2021, that Ghostwire: Tokyo was confirmed to be a timed console exclusive expected to arrive in 2022. This is when that reaction to the game was one of intrigue and a desire to get hands-on with it. That time has arrived and I am on the Playstation 5. Gameplay This first-person action-adventure sees you battle agai...

The Story of Magalan Continues in Elex II There are many series of games out there that you can easily play in a piecemeal fashion. Some that come to mind are the different Call of Duty, Battlefield, and even Grand Theft Auto. Most have a campaign that is not directly dependent upon one another in the series. Then you have game series like Dying Light, Final Fantasy, and even Destiny. Each you can pick up at any point along with the stor...

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is the latest instalment in the Atelier franchise. It continues the trend of single-player RPGs in a somewhat open-world akin to late 1700s or early 1800s Europe. It was developed and published by Koei Tecmo who have been part of the series since it began on the PS1 in 1997. I was excited to play the game after having enjoyed the Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack. If you are a fan of the series then I have no doubt you will too. And if you are interested, you can read my review here of the original Atelier Mysterious Trilogy here. The Adventure Continues! Atelier Sophie 2 is available on February 25th on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 & PS5. The TC team and I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on Atelier Sophie 2. So d...

It was released on November 9th on the Playstation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox One Series S/X, and PC. But today we take a look at the JWE2: Early Cretaceous Pack DLC Review Early Cretaceous Pack DLC It was only last month that Jurassic World Evolution 2 graced us with its presence. A month later and we get the first taste of some DLC in the form of the Early Cretaceous Pack. So will these new dinosaurs add something to the game or will they just go extinct (bad pun I know)? Dysterra Preview

Dysterra is a survival, crafting, and multiplayer open world game currently in development by Reality MagiQ (Space Block Buster, Special Force VR: Infinity War) with publishing by Kakao Games (Elyon, Path of Exile). It currently doesn't have a planned release date but it recently had a beta test week from November 15th thru the 28th. I was able to dip a toe into the game to see what it's all about. As of right now Dysterra may only be found on PC via Steam. Dysterra - Gather, Craft, Build, etc. etc. For a game not having any sort of planned release date, Dysterra looks dang pretty. But then there comes the question of which is more important to you as a gamer. Do you prefer a game that looks amazing but may not have the best gameplay? Or would you rather play one that may not look gr...

Maneater: Truth Quest DLC Review

Developed and published by Tripwire Interactive. Maneater: Truth Quest is the DLC to the hugely popular video game Maneater. Released on Playstation 4/5,  Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC on 31st of August 2021. Maneater: Truth Quest - It's Never Save To Go Back In The Water When I first played Maneater I was absolutely amazing at how a game where you play as a shark could be. It blew me away at how good it was and when I finished it. I remember thinking that it had so much to offer and I couldn't wait to see if they were going to release some DLC for the game. Well in August I got my wish as the Truth Quest DLC was released. So let's jump back in the water and take a chunk out of this DLC, shall we? If you enjoyed this review then why not check out my review for the base game of Man...

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Review

Welcome to my review of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. That's a mouthful, isn't it! The return of the iconic trilogy is developed by Grove Street Games (GTA Chinatown Wars, Max Payne iOS, and Android) and published by Rockstar Games (L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption). We all know the story of these games. We play as someone who starts their story as a down and out, working our way up the chain of organised crime gangs. I was kindly given a PlayStation review key for the GTA remastered trilogy, and I played it on the PlayStation 5. Three Iconic Cities, Three Epic Stories. Plus Lots Of Bugs. So how does the return of three of my favourite games from my younger days play out? Continue reading to find out. Check out my previous review here where I played Airborne K...

Far Cry 6 Review

By now you've seen the comments on social media. "If you've played one Far Cry game, you've played them all". "It's just the same game in a different location, sometimes with the same topography". "It's just Assassin's Creed but with a different skin". But do you know why Far Cry 6 is going to do so well? Because it is a winning formula. Much like Grand Theft Auto and The Elder Scrolls series, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Far Cry 6 - "Rule #1 - A Good Guerrilla is a Hidden Guerrilla" Far Cry 6 is an ahem...far cry (I'm sorry) from its first game released in 2004 which was developed by Crytek who is more known for the Crysis series. Look out for the Crysis Trilogy Remastered review coming soon. The first game is the only one Ubisoft had nothing to do with. In total there have been six...

New World Review

Here it is finally! We have New World by Amazon Games, After testing and betas, we can finally enjoy the MMO that everyone has been waiting for. Well, that's if you can get into a server, anyone else love waiting in queues? This IS the MMO you have been looking for! I personally haven't been sucked into the MMO world for a long time. The last time I actually spent a good amount of time on one is probably 10 years plus now. So I am extremely looking forward to seeing just how much I enjoy New World. Even Stu our Editor-In-Chief is on board and he usually doesn't get caught up in the MMO scene. "Having never really getting stuck into an MMO I was intrigued by what New World could offer. Needless to say, once I created my character and started exploring the world my fears subsided. The wor...
