After The Fall – Quest 2 Review

Welcome to my review of After The Fall. This is a new VR game and was developed and published by Vertigo Games (creators of Arizona sunshine). This is a game full of potential, especially when it is like Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood. A VR version of those games was definitely needed. Now I can actually feel like I'm there slaying the zombies in a snowy apocalypse. Left 4… Oh Wait, After The Fall As previously stated, the game structure is quite similar to Left 4 Dead and the likes. However, this is not a bad thing due to the increasing pressure of those games to come back. You know the ‘’old’’ go from A to B but have safe houses scattered in the middle.  This is not a bad plot either, the safe houses in the middle can be used to spend your harvest (the currency dropped from zom...

Nerf Legends Review

Nerf Legends by devs Fun Labs and published by GameMill Entertainment is a first-person shooter, based on the iconic Nerf range of toy weapons. Nerf Legends - It's Nerf Or Nothing! Available across all consoles, was I ready to experience a futuristic Nerf rather than the sting of a foam dart between my eyes? It's time to go to the next level on the PS5! If you enjoy my review, be sure to track us down on social media and give us a follow! Gameplay Having four sons, Nerf has been a pretty big deal when it came to them growing up. I have an armoury of Nerf weapons in the loft at the moment where they have outgrown them however the littlest son is getting to that age where he can have a play soon. With Nerf Legends I really expected an FPS that allows you to safely run and gun your...

Halo Infinite Multiplayer Review

From the launch of Combat Evolved in 2001 to Halo Infinite in 2021, Halo has captured the imagination of players on a global scale. With the original title generating a whopping $170,000,000 in 5 years through Xbox sales alone... It's no surprise then, that multiple developers & publishers have gotten involved over the years to try and grab their piece of the pie. The latest addition to the franchise, Halo Infinite, is brought to us by 343 Industries and Xbox Game Studios. Finally released in December 2021, Halo Infinite brings us a much-needed distraction from the troubles of the last 2 years...for those on Xbox and Windows that is. Boots on the ground! Kind of, sort of... If you've ever played a first-person shooter, you'll probably be familiar with the term "boots on the ground". ...

KEO Preview

KEO is a new team-based vehicular combat game now available via Early Access on Steam. The post-apocalyptic, remote-controlled vehicle rumble is in development by Redcatpig Studio and published by Digital Matters Publishing. The game has already been in development for a few years and is currently planning for release sometime in 2022. Remote Cars + 3v3 Battle Arena = KEO in a Nutshell For those of us that grew up when the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 were current gen, I can't imagine there wasn't a pre-teen or teenage boy/girl around that didn't play some version of the Twisted Metal series. The carnage, the ridiculous characters and vehicles, and oh man the crazy fun. The first footage I saw of KEO reminded me of the good times I'd had of going over to friend's house to play. Did yo...

Battlefield 2042 Review

Well, it's finally here. The latest instalment of the Battlefield series has come to life with Battlefield 2042. Despite the new venue for vehicular and infantry combat, the Battlefield games are known for, it has been met with some harsh criticism from long-time fans of the series. Some feel that DICE has made poor development decisions with some of its changes to the game. Others believe that DICE took Battlefield 2042 out of the oven too soon due to deadlines set by publisher Electronic Arts. Regardless, Battlefield 2042 is currently available for purchase on PC via Steam, Origin, and Epic as well as Xbox Series X/S/One and PlayStation 5/4. Much like my bullets, Battlefield 2042 misses the mark I have been a fan of the Battlefield series since I built my first PC in college and picked...

Playing Doom…30 Years Later – A Retrospective Review

Almost 30 years ago, id Software released what is still considered one of the most defining and important games in video game history. I am of course talking about Doom. Doom is an FPS action game developed and published by id Software and was released on December 10th, 1993. The game was originally published with only the first nine levels on MS-DOS but due to its success, the full game was later ported to Windows 95, the Sega 32X, Atari Jaguar, Super Nintendo, and then pretty much every well-known game console you can name. Not to mention ATMs, barcode scanners, and...pregnancy tests. If you played video games in the early '90s and you had a computer, you most definitely played Doom. This game defined a generation and set the standard for FPS shooters. It was one of the most talked...

Call of Duty: Vanguard Review

Another year, another Call of Duty game, and Call of Duty: Vanguard marks its eighteenth main entry into the franchise. This iteration sees the series return to its roots, that of a World War II setting. I do prefer the exploration of this era as opposed to the highly fictionalised games set in the modern-day, as they let you play out events that actually happened. Call of Duty: Vanguard - "If You're Going Through Hell, Keep Going", Winston Churchill This year's game has been developed by Sledgehammer Games with Treyarch handling the Zombies portion of the game, and once again, Activision is publishing. This is the third title developed by Sledgehammer, with the other two being Advanced Warfare and WWII. They did a great job with WWII so I was really excited about getting stuck into this...

Maneater: Truth Quest DLC Review

Developed and published by Tripwire Interactive. Maneater: Truth Quest is the DLC to the hugely popular video game Maneater. Released on Playstation 4/5,  Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC on 31st of August 2021. Maneater: Truth Quest - It's Never Save To Go Back In The Water When I first played Maneater I was absolutely amazing at how a game where you play as a shark could be. It blew me away at how good it was and when I finished it. I remember thinking that it had so much to offer and I couldn't wait to see if they were going to release some DLC for the game. Well in August I got my wish as the Truth Quest DLC was released. So let's jump back in the water and take a chunk out of this DLC, shall we? If you enjoyed this review then why not check out my review for the base game of Man...

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Review

Welcome to my review of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. That's a mouthful, isn't it! The return of the iconic trilogy is developed by Grove Street Games (GTA Chinatown Wars, Max Payne iOS, and Android) and published by Rockstar Games (L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption). We all know the story of these games. We play as someone who starts their story as a down and out, working our way up the chain of organised crime gangs. I was kindly given a PlayStation review key for the GTA remastered trilogy, and I played it on the PlayStation 5. Three Iconic Cities, Three Epic Stories. Plus Lots Of Bugs. So how does the return of three of my favourite games from my younger days play out? Continue reading to find out. Check out my previous review here where I played Airborne K...
