Godfall Review – The Knights Order Shall Prevail

From developer, Counterplay games and the publisher, Gearbox publishing, comes Godfall an ARPG SLASHER (ACTION ROLE PLAYING GAME). A loot focused melee game that's full of action and a great story. Find new loot on the way to complete the story and level up your skills to become strong enough to defeat your enemies. Let us know in the comments below if you are playing or thinking about playing Godfall. Override 2: Super Mech League PS4/PS5 Review

Imagine at the end of Pacific Rim when all the Kaiju had been defeated and the Jaegers had served their purpose, the world governments decided to use the Mechas in WWE. That's the premise for Override 2: Super Mech League. Developed by Modus Studios Brazil and Maximum Games, and published by Modus Games, it is available on Steam, PS4/PS5, Switch and Xbox. This is the follow up to Override: Mech City Brawl which got average review scores seemingly due to framerate issues, lack of depth and difficulty in finding online matchups. Can the sequel address these issues successfully? I've not really picked up a Beat 'em Up since the likes of Tekken 3 and Soul Caliber 2. I'm interested to jump in and see what Override 2: Super Mech League has to offer. Override 2: Super Mech League - Rock 'e...

Space Invaders Forever Review – Can It Really Last Forever?

Like the year 2020, Space Invaders is a franchise that will seemingly never end.  So it seems only fitting that we end the year talking about Space Invaders Forever.  Though Space Invaders isn't quite the name it used to be, there is no argument that it has stood the test of time where many others have fallen.  Over 40 years ago (1978 to be exact) it helped pave the way for gaming as we know it.  As an effort to keep kids pumping in their quarters, they inadvertently invented the difficulty curve.  It has seen many changes over the years, but one thing that remains is that everyone knows what a Space Invader looks like.  It is iconic! Space Invaders Forever Is A Unique Bijou Compilation Space Invaders Forever is developed by the original developers Taito and published by ININ Games.  It ...

Cyberpunk 2077 Review – Cyberjunk 2020?

Eight whole years since the first announcement of Cyberpunk 2077, eight whole years.  We got our first trailer in 2013, then silence.  The trailer was classy and looked every part next-gen, perfectly accompanied by the song Bullets, by British avant-garde rock band Archive.  It blew me away, and hype began.  Then, radio silence ended E3 2018 and, Keanu Reeves happened... so all aboard the hype train again! "Wake The F*** Up Samurai, We Have A City To Burn" - Welcome To Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing game that was released on December 10th, 2020 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.  Both developed and published by CD Projekt Red, it was their first game since 2014's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.  The game is based on the pen and paper role-playing s...

Spirit Of The North Enhanced Edition Review – Who Let The Fox Out?

Spirit of the North Enhanced Edition on PS5 was developed by indie team Infuse Studio and published by Merge Games in November 2020. It was previously released on PS4 in February 2019 and later on Switch and Steam in May 2020. This Enhanced Edition boasts 4k 60fps gameplay and updated textures, lighting and objects. There are also 3 new skins, 2 of those are exclusive to PS5. Spirit of the North was created by Taylor Christensen and Jacob Sutton who both specialise in art rather than programming. They’ve done a tremendous job at using this as a strength, rather than a weakness; leaning into visual design being a core element of the game. Spirit of the North Enhanced Edition PS5 Review - Who Let The Fox Out? This is a game almost devoid of hand-holding and relies on the player to pay a...
