Solasta: Crown Of The Magister Review

In the debut game from indie developer and publisher Tactical Adventures comes Solasta Crown of the Magister. As a fan of tabletop and video game RPGs, Solasta definitely caught my eye. So much so that I also wrote the Thumb Culture preview which you can find here. A single-player turned based isometric RPG set in the world of Solasta. King Of Seas Review

King of Seas is developed by 3D clouds, and they have brought us a single-player open-world RPG. They previously made car-based games so have leapt to sailing the seven seas. They, alongside Team17, a well-known indie publisher who previously brought us the Overcooked! series and Worms WMD. Following the popularity of games such as Sea of Thieves, the pirate genre is growing. And I believe that King of Seas is only the most recent addition to the genre and is a quality one at that. Erica PC Review

Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and originally released as a Playstation 4 exclusive, Erica, an interactive thriller film, is now available on PC. Falling somewhere between a video game and a film, this feels like an evolution of the visual novel genre. I'd say the mechanics are somewhere between Bandersnatch and a Telltale game. Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition Review

Metro Exodus, the final part of the Metro video game trilogy. Based on the world created by Dmitry Glukhovsky's series of novels starting with Metro 2033. Glukhovsky also collaborated in developing the games. Part of a franchise including a Metro 2033 board game released in 2011 and a planned feature film. Continuing Artyom's story in this post-apocalyptic version of the world where nuclear war devastated the world and led to various monsters coming into existence. As well different factions including Communists, Neo-Nazis, neutral groups to gangs of bandits. Metro Exodus definitely got my tikhar going! Having never played any of the previous Metro titles I was extremely dubious about picking this up. Would I appreciate a storyline partway through? Also what have I missed out on already?...
