EA Sports FC is set to become the successor to the Fifa series. Fifa 23 is officially the final title with EA. The series dates back to 1994.
EA Sports It’s Still In The Game
EA wasted little time in announcing EA Sports FC last month. This week they have announced a branding deal with the Spanish La Liga.
Huge Branding Deal
The new deal with La Liga includes title naming rights and will transform La Liga. In a press release, EA stated
Starting in the 2023/2024 season, the partnership between EA SPORTS FC™ and LaLiga will include title naming rights for all LaLiga competitions, a complete rebrand of LaLiga with EA SPORTS including all logos, graphics, fonts and other visual elements, while also delivering new in-game integration, broadcast highlights, and joint commitments to supporting grassroots initiatives.
This is just one of the deals that EA have in place. It doesn’t mean that it will become a Spanish-focused title. So you can still expect there to be the Premier League. It is possible that another developer will take over the Fifa Series however, currently there is no news on this at this time.
In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for Fifa 23 below.
