0 If you haven’t heard of PowerWash Simulator 2, then where have you been hiding? Now, if you haven’t heard of the Star Wars Pack, then honestly, what hope is there for humanity? In all seriousness, the DLC was released earlier this month, and we’ve been spending time cleaning up some iconic environments. All that’s left is to let you know what we think of the game. Lets head into the game.
A Long Time Ago…
Released across all platforms, Star Wars fans are going to absolutely love this DLC pack. Now join us as we find out whether or not you can get those dings faster than the Millennium Falcon did the Kessel Run. (Yes, I know that was measured in distance; fight me in the comments)
Gameplay
As with all PowerWash Simulator levels, they aren’t drenched in difficulty. Instead opting for a relaxing cleaning experience that makes the Star Wars Pack perfect for the latest release. I mean, it was inevitable that something this epic would finally be released.
Set during the original trilogy, you get 6 new environments to clean up and bring back to their spangly newness. You take control of PO-W2, a class five cleaning droid, and you start off cleaning up a nice little homestead in Tatooine. You eventually end up cleaning the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. As you go along your journey, there are great little snippets of the story in the shape of text messages. Take the time to read these as they add to the overall experience of the Star Wars Pack.
My only gripe with the gameplay loop is that usually PowerWash Simulator eases you in with a couple of smaller cleans. The Star Wars Pack doesn’t really give you any smaller cleans. Starting at the Lars’ Homestead, then heading to the Mos Eisley Cantina. After you head to Hoth and clean an AT-AT, this one was tough, with plenty of tools to use, including a great swing. This attaches to the top side of the AT-AT and allows you to easily traverse across the whole of a side of the machine.
After that, you head to a Super Star Destroyer Bridge, then you clean an X-Wing, before ending the journey at the Millennium Falcon. Each level is an absolute easter egg hunt as well. Will you spot them all?
Graphics & Audio
The graphics on PowerWash Simulator 2 are so nice to look at. The Star Wars Pack is particularly accurate. With plenty of little nods to the movies, there is so much to enjoy.
Your power washer makes a distinct blaster noise when you start cleaning. Giving you the feeling that you are handling something as delicate as a DL-44, just make sure you shoot first.
Longevity
If you rush around cleaning and not taking in the environment, then you can probably complete this in around 4/5 hours. However, I like to take my time and try out some of the different power washer add-ons. Maybe I’m slow, but i’m knocking on around 10 hours, and I’ve only just started on the Falcon. Honestly, just enjoy the pack and take your time.
Final Thoughts
Being a massive Star Wars fan, playing through this pack was an absolute joy. I honestly cannot say how excited I was to get to power wash some of these environments. Thankfully, Futurlab didn’t let me down in any way. Even the TC Mini Crew enjoyed cleaning up some of Mos Eisley and trying to determine where Han and Greedo might have sat.
