Axiom Verge Review – Beautifully Nostalgic

Here at Thumb Culture, we're reviewing more indie games than ever before. The hightened focus on helping small developers has brought in lots of titles and can I just say, keep them coming! But, in the gigantic ocean of software, it's rare that an indie is as well-designed as Axiom Verge. Developed and published by Thomas Happ games LLC who has worked on many different "triple-A" games for both PC and consoles, such as Grey Goo, Tiger Woods, and NFL Street, to name a few. I would just like to mention that BadLand Games is donating 75 percent of its share of sales of Axiom Verge to a special fund dedicated to the ongoing healthcare costs of Tom Happ's son, Alastair, who suffers from Kernicterus, a bilirubin-induced brain dysfunction which is caused when new-born jaundice isn't treated in a ...

Create Your Shoppekeeper In Shoppe Keep 2 Ahead Of Launch

With Shoppe Keep 2 on the way this year, players can get a small taste of what to expect by creating their Shoppe Keepers for free! Before I waffle on about Shoppe Keep 2, Shoppe Keep was a first-person shop management title by Strange Fire, and published by Excalibur Games in 2015. The title finds players running their own shop in the middle of a fantasy town with heroes, and heroines flocking to your store to buy weapons and more. Shoppe Keep 2 follows on from the success of the first and includes more elements, such as Online play, and free-roam allowing players to go out and find items to sell, rather than just ordering them in. The players can also equip the armour and weapons that they sell in order to protect them when they're on their quests to find items to sell. The Charact...

Thumb Culture Retrospective – The Beatles Rock Band

There's nothing I love more than The Beatles, well, apart from David Bowie, Pulp and actually come to think of it there are quite a few things I love more than The Beatles. When it comes to me and Rock Band, I get on quite well with it. My main issue with the games has always been my below average health, specifically my wrists, it makes it pretty hard to play Rock Band for long periods of time. Still, that didn't stop me from putting the disc in and not stopping until I'd played through the entire story mode. What I do regret is playing every single song in one go in one day without a break. Writing this review currently is about as easy as coaxing a meerkat out of its hole with car insurance. I'll just preface this review with a note. I do in fact really enjoy The Beatles, and I play ...
