Encased Review

Encased has officially broken out of Early Access as of September 7th, 2021. It can be found on Steam and Epic as well as GOG. The game is a single-player tactical sci-fi RPG that is set in an alternative timeline of the 1970's, after the Cold War. Encased began as a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017 for developer Dark Crystal Games and is published by Prime Matter (Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Outward, Kingdom Come: Deliverance). Explore the Dome in Encased I wasn't entirely certain what to expect from Encased when I first took a look at it. I don't have a whole lot of experience with turn-based combat or tactical games such as XCOM or Gears Tactics. Tails of Iron Review

Tails of Iron first appeared on my radar a couple of months ago and there were a few things that drew me to it initially. Firstly was its unique 2D art style, it reminded me of medieval tapestries and I love the medieval era. Secondly, the narrator kicked in and he happened to be the one and only Doug Cockle. You may know him as Geralt of Rivia (or RATvia now?) from The Witcher series. Lastly was how interesting the story sounded with the characters. The game arrived and the description said "punishingly brutal souls-like combat". Just those words sent a shiver up my spine, as it has taken me many attempts over five years to get past the first boss in Bloodborne. The Big Con Review

Just imagine, what would happen if every piece of pop culture and cliche from the '90s became a human form and made a game, this would be the result. The Big Con is an action RPG game developed by Mighty Yell and published by Skybound Games. It was released on August 31st 2021 on PC and Xbox One. Rustler is a game by developers Jutsu Games (911 Operator, 112 Operator) and publishers Modus (Cris Tales, Super Animal Royale) and Games Operators (Be-A Walker Battle for Eldorado, Natural Instincts). Foreclosed PS5 Review

Foreclosed is a cyberpunk action shooter with RPG elements experienced in graphic novel panels and stylised graphics. The title refers to when people are property and upon a company going under, their identity is being auctioned off. We begin with the protagonist, Evan Kapnos, being foreclosed and suddenly forced on the run. Kapnos is smack dab in the middle of a conspiracy and the only way to survive is with some help from allies is get to the person at the top and make them a counteroffer. On November 20th 2020 I foolishly decided to review Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition. I was sort of nominated for it. Having scared myself silly while playing the game, the people over at TC HQ thought it would be a great idea for me to take a look at the Oculus Rift version as well!
