Nanomon Virtual Pet – PC Review

Ready to jump into a new adventure? Nanomon Virtual Pet is a brand-new game developed by Oscar Brittain and published by Akupara Games, launching on Steam today (June 24th 2025). Hatch your very own Nanomon Virtual Pet, care for it, and take it into battle as you go on a journey to discover the mystery-filled realm that is the Nanoscape! A New Age For Virtual Pets? Have you ever thought that there may be something living inside your computer? I don't mean like, roaches or anything (though if you do suspect that there may be some in there, you should probably get that checked out). No, I mean Nanomon, of course! Nanomon are invisible monsters that live inside your computer! It was just recently that someone found a way to make them visible. Better yet? It turns out they love traveling aro...

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN PC Review

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN is an Action, RPG, and Roguelite game made by FromSoftware. It takes place in the ELDEN RING universe, but it exists on its own two legs. I have been noticing that lately, we've had a few roguelikes that choose to have a three-person team, like Windblown, which is my strongest memory of this example. With it being a game from FromSoftware, the difficulty of the game is only in one mode. Which, for some new people coming into the game, would think it's a very difficult game. However, for people who understand FromSoftware's history and roguelites, this is what makes it fun. "How hard?" You may be asking. Oh ho ho ho. Just keep reading to see if I can let you understand what to expect. Yes! Old enemies to face and *someone whispering in my ear* WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE ...

Nice Day for Fishing – PS5 Review

Viva La Dirt League is a YouTube comedy skit channel that I was admittedly unfamiliar with prior to this review. But, with over 7 million subscribers and more than a decade making videos, they're clearly a popular group. Now, with the help of developer FusionPlay and publisher Team17, they're making their very first videogame based on their Epic NPC Man series: Nice Day for Fishing! Despite not knowing the YouTubers beforehand, I've always enjoyed a good fishing mini-game in many titles. So, what could be better than a full game based around it? If you're a fan of VLDL then we'd love to know your thoughts on the game in the comments below. Or better yet, send me some video recommendations! Mornin'! Nice Day for Fishing, ain't it? Welcome to the world of Azerim! This world is full of m...

Cattle Country – PC Review

Howdy pardner! Ready to put on your boots and step into a new life of farmin' and adventure? Get ready for the Wild West with Cattle Country! Developed by Castle Pixel and published by Playtonic Friends, this cowboy themed farming sim just rode its way onto Steam, Switch, Xbox Series X|S and PS5! For today's review I'll be playing the PC version. Yeehaw! Aight, listen up. I love me some farming sims, and could play them all day, every day. A lot of recent releases have been rather hit or miss for me, but this one I really enjoy playing. Sure, there are some minor flaws and issues, but most are already being worked on and, let's be real, which game doesn't have a few of those? Enough negativity for now! The game has so many areas in which it absolutely shines, and I can't wait to get into...

Best Served Cold – PC Review

Best Served Cold is a brand-new detective-themed visual novel by the independent developer and publisher Rogueside Games. It's currently available on Steam with a planned launch on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X at a later date. Serve drinks, solve cases, and make sure the cops don't shut down your illegal little speakeasy. Whodunit? Oh, this one's a good one, alright. I have not touched a visual novel game in years, but I am so happy that I picked this game up. I got really invested in the story and basically binged the game in one day, much to the demise of my sleep schedule (once again). It's not my fault! I expect a handwritten apology letter from the devs for making their game too engaging. While we wait for that, let's have a look at the game, shall we? Also, let me...

Grandma, No! – PC Review

Grandma, No! is an adventure RPG made by Wallride with the assistance of Super Rare Originals. This heavily physics-driven game contains the most chaotic fun I've had in a long time. This is largely due to the throwing of objects by either me or my Grandson. Even just doing normal chores would still guarantee chaos in the end. Grandma… Why is your award-winning pie in the freezer, in a box labelled 'Costco'? My time with Grandma was shorter than I would have liked, but that won't stop me from writing an honest review. I'm just not letting her anywhere near my keyboard or PC! Gameplay The mechanics in Grandma, No! aren't unique, but the gameplay and story are. Grandma's son calls us to tell us that he and his wife are going to need a babysitter because they are heading to a nude bea...

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – PC Review

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a narrative-driven JRPG by Sandfall Interactive, an indie development team from France. The game is a solo adventure with publishing by Kepler Interactive (Windblown, Pacific Drive). It is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam or Epic. For this review I'm taking a look at the PC version. Embark on an Expedition into a Vibrant, Deadly World Oh hey look a game that isn't a roguelite! There has seemingly been a lot of hype leading up to the release of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I'm not sure if it was word of mouth or simply good advertising that caught my eye. But I'm taking the plunge into a genre nearly wholly unfamiliar to me, so bear with me. Honestly the most prominent recollection I have of playing anything even similar is o...

Rusty Rabbit – PC Review

Rusty Rabbit is an action-adventure RPG from developers NITRO PLUS with publishing assistance from SoFun. I originally saw a glimpse of this game during Steam NextFest in Spring of last year. While the game's premise and mechanics had me slightly excited, it was the fact that Kazuma Kiryu's Japanese voice actor was voicing the main protagonist, Stamp, that cemented my need to play it. I entered fanboy mode hard over that fact alone. It's been a long while since I got to enjoy collecting Junk again. Let's cut the chatter and figure out if this game is great or a McGregor. Gameplay You start out as the rabbit known as Stamp. A junk/mech fanatic rabbit existing in a world that seems like our Earth, but going through a second Ice Age. With a world consisting of just rabbits and 'rust b...

Freeride – PC Review

Wacky characters and some destructive scenarios await in Freeride. Developed by Flightyfelon Games Inc and published with help from Future Friends Games, the game releases on Steam today (1st May). ALL ABOARD, NEXT STOP! MY FEELS GETTING RAN OVER LIKE A PIECE OF PAPER!!! This game is more of a personality test masquerading as an RPG adventure. And it doesn't hide it either. When I say it cane be destructive too, I mean it in the literal sense. Though the trip is short, we've got multiple routes to the same destination. I'll make sure to keep this review completely spoiler-free. Gameplay Freeride has you playing as Proto. He's just minding his own business at the train station until he gets a text message. Responding to the text or not is the first of many choices within the game. I...

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered – PC Review

It really happened! The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has released! Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and Virtuos, it is available right now for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. The base game includes all of the old DLCs that are available for the original version of the game. However, there is also a Digital Deluxe Edition that features quests for new armour and weapons, as well as a digital artbook and the game's soundtrack! By The Nine! Well, that release was unexpected! Like sure, yeah, there were leaks, but when can you ever properly believe those? Anyways! I'm so thrilled to see so much love shown to my second favourite The Elder Scrolls game — I'm a Morrowind girlie, fight me. Still, I love Oblivion with every fibre of my being, and this remaster has settled straight into my...
