Gamesir F8 Pro Snowgon Review

Welcome to my review of the Gamesir F8 Pro Snowgon mobile cooling grip. Ok so that's a mouthful, but it's worth it. This time around we have a cooling grip which certainly does cool your mobile phone. Gamesir F8 Pro Snowgon - Cool And Comfortable In the box, we have of course the Gamesir F8 Pro Snowgon itself, a touch screen thumb grip attachment, a USB C cable, a user manual, a warranty card, and some Gamesir stickers. HyperX Solocast Microphone

HyperX has been in the peripheral game for a while now, products ranging from its Cloud headsets to its Quadcast microphones (previously reviewed here). Now in post-covid / various lockdown times everyone's Gran, Aunt and a long lost cousin have a need for a microphone that involves no fuss at all. This is where the Plug-N-Play HyperX Solocast hits the spot. Design From the outset, it's obvious what you are getting in the box, and the box imagery couldn't be more perfect. The Hyper X Solocast comes set up in its cradle and ready to rock. Simply plug the provided 2m USB cable in and away you go.  It comes in a matt black finish, with a nice glowing red light to show you it is active. This is a design feature which is now common across the Hyper X microphone range. The cradle itsel...

Evercade Premium Pack Review

It had been 30 years since I last opened a brand new 16-bit system. That system was the Atari 520STE, and I loved it. It arrived in the household a year after the Sega Mega Drive. A lot of the kids at school were talking about a game called The Secret of Monkey Island, which they would be playing on their Amiga 500. I had to play it! Everyone had Amigas, I had the Atari, and to be honest, I was not disappointed. So my heart pumped with nostalgic joy when I was sent the Evercade Premium Pack to review. The Evercade was released in May of 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic. Lots of people were finding video games again and if this release date was part of a late move in the business strategy...Bravo! It's also a risky move considering the Nintendo Switch has a vast library of retro ...

Razer Huntsman Mini Review

Razer has been, in the last few years, the almost go-to brand when looking to get a new gaming keyboard. Whether being a first time PC Gamer or an old hand, you have to check out the latest on what Razer are offering. Being an 0ld school PC gamer, it's tough for me to adapt especially with the push of RGB (no thanks). I have my way and from time to time, and it becomes harder to adapt to something a bit different. However, the 60% keyboards have been on my radar for a bit. After changing from full phat keyboards to TKL in 2014, a change was on the horizon. Why go Full Phat when you can have 60% Last year, Razer entered the 60% keyboard market with the Huntsman Mini, an area of keyboards that seems to have exploded with popularity with minimalist setups and of course streamers and esports...

Sades Battle Ram Gaming Combo Set Review

Lately, I have been adventuring over the hardware hills, next up is the Sades Battle Ram Gaming Combo. Sades, for those who aren't familiar, are a Shenzen City based tech brand. Originally starting out with the manufacturer of headsets in 2002 they then entered the gaming market in 2012. Sades then went on to being the exclusive headset provider for World Cyber Games Festival in China. Going from strength to strength they are now worldwide and have their own E-Sports teams. A 3 in 1 bundle for an extremely affordable budget! Sades are a brand that I have personally never come across until earlier this year. At Thumb Culture we have had a few Sades products in and that is how I was introduced. This will be my first hands-on experience with the brand, my first thoughts are - Just how good ...

JBL Quantum One Headset Review

The awesome people over at JBL kindly sent down a pair of their recently launched Quantum One gaming headphones for me to have a play with.  Before I have even got the product out of the box it already looks a very colourful ordeal with vibrant oranges painted across the packaging. JBL Quantum One - Dare To Listen With JBL being very well known for its speakers, I was interested to see how they would sound in a gaming headset. As, where precise sound is key if you want to survive in first-person shooters. First impressions Straight from the box there is a fair bit of substance to the Quantum One headset with a weight of 369g, bearing in mind that this is a wired headset.  In comparison to some of the other headsets that I have had the pleasure to review, the wired Roccat Khan Aimo head...
