Mythforce – PC Review

Mythforce is a roguelike RPG co-op adventure brought to you by developers Beamdog. The game was released on 12th September 2023. They claim throughout their promotions online to have captured the essence of 80s daytime cartoons in game form. Sounds interesting. I recently got a chance to check it out for Thumb Culture. Check out the review below. A Love Letter to Retro Cartoons Roguelike games have become commonplace in game stores in recent years. Often they are endless AI-generated levels added to mix things up for the gamer. I've played a few games with this added and while it certainly is fun, I'm a bit on the fence. Halls of Torment is a fantasy horde survival roguelite. It is developed and published by Chasing Carrots (Good Company, Pressure Overdrive). You can find it out now in Early Access on Steam. Halls of Torment is Another Steam Deck Staple I've never really been into horde survival games. I held out a long time before finally picking up Vampire Survivors when it suddenly became so popular. Hellcard PC Early Access Preview

Hellcard is the latest deck-building roguelike adventure from Thing Trunk (Book of Demons). It is now available in Early Access on PC via Steam with publishing by Skystone Games (Undying) and Surefire Games (Riftbreaker). Players can fight through dungeons solo or co-op, upgrading and building up their deck to bring down the paper armies of darkness once again. They May Be Paper, But They Still Do Damage in Hellcard If you have not yet had a chance to play Book of Demons, I sincerely hope you take the time to do so. Aces & Adventures – PC Review

Aces & Adventures is the latest release from Yogscast Games (Golfie) alongside indie publisher Triple B Games. The game is a deckbuilding fantasy RPG where combat is powered by poker. Luckily for me, you only need to know the main combinations of hands available. The closest comparison I've played is Slay the Spire but Aces & Adventures definitely is making its mark on the deckbuilding genre. Aces & Adventures is available now on Windows PC. Aces & Adventures up's the ante in this high-stakes fantasy game I was excited to play Aces & Adventures as I'm a fan of the genre and Yogscast Games.
