Spidersaurs – Xbox One Review

Developed and published by WayForward. Spidersaurs is a run and gun, shooter, platformer. It was released on Xbox One, Series S/X, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch on the 19th of July 2022. Spidersaurs - As Hard As Dino Doody Originally an Apple Arcade Exclusive from back in 2019. Spidersaurs made their way onto PC and ported to every console. So it had to have been popular right? I mean a game where the enemies are spider/dinosaurs DNA mix mash. This was just too good of an offer to pass up. Throw in some run and gun and some platforming then you got a recipe for hours of fun. If you enjoyed this review then why not check out my previous one here? Metal Tales: Overkill Review

Metal and video games are two of my foremost passions in life. So on the rare occasion that they do come together, I always jump at the chance to give it a go. It is a shame that this seldom happens as a lot of gamers, like myself are metalheads. My earliest recollection of metal-style riffage in games is the tune that is E1M1 - At Doom's Gate, from the 1993 classic DOOM! A style that is still consistent with the franchise today. More recent fantastic entries include Guitar Hero: Metallica and Brutal Legend. Well, I say recent, that was over 10 years ago. So, does Metal Tales: Overkill fill that metal/gaming void? Metal Tales: Overkill - Needs More Metal Metal Tales: Overkill is a roguelike twin-stick shooter developed and published by Zerouno Games. The game is out now digitally on all ...

Let's bring back some good old nostalgia shall we with this B.I.O.T.A review. B.I.O.T.A - These Aliens Won't Even See It Coming When you say 8bit to gamers the first thing that will pop into their mind is Mario, Castlevania, Metroid, Sonic. Every now and then a game will surface that uses the old school 8bit graphics and give that game a modern twist. B.I.O.T.A is one of those titles so strap into for some gaming goodness. BPM: Bullets Per Minute Review

Bullets Per Minute (BPM) is a 90s inspired dungeon game developed by Awe Interactive and published by Playtonic Friends. Initially released in September 2020, we take a look at the latest release for Xbox. Bullets Per Minute - "Live Fast, Die Fast!" With the main gist of the game to shoot down the hordes of demons in time with the music, we thought it best to hand it over to our in-house drummer to see what he made of it. Gameplay At its heart Bullets Per Minute is a Doom-inspired FPS rhythm game. Everything you do as a player must be in time with the music; shooting, jumping, reloading you fail to do this and your gun will jam and the hordes of demons will quickly strike you down - they also attack to the rhythm. I'll admit it took quite a long time to get used to the movement ...

Broken Blades Review

Broken Blades is the debut game from developer Pirates Game Studio and is published by Golden Eggs Studios & West Wind Games. It is a 2D rogue-like platformer set in a fantasy dungeon full of various creatures and monsters. After the tutorial, I learned the game doesn't waste time. Right away I was in control of the protagonist in a world deep underground but with no understanding of who I am and how I got there. Fighting various monsters along the way as well as dodging the various traps, I only know hopefully there is a way out. Broken Blades - The Sword Is Definitely A Fixer-Upper From my first-hand experience and the general opinion of other players, Broken Blades is very difficult so bear that in mind. You can pick the game up on PC where it is available now. Platformers aren't ...

After we too become corrupted by defeating Gobbok and equipping his hat, we find ourselves back at the troll village once again being birthed a Yotun from the father tree. Dice Legacy Review

Dice Legacy takes tabletop games in digital form to a whole new level. It uses dice-based mechanics to gather resources, defend your settlement, and expand into the unknown while also being a challenging survival city builder. It is developed by DESTINYbit (Empires Apart) and published by Ravenscourt (Redeemer, Road 96, Kona). Dice Legacy was released on September 9th, 2021 on PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic as well on Nintendo Switch. Dice Legacy is a Challenge in Strategy and Luck One of the biggest problems I find with tabletop games is that reading through the instructions for most of them seems to take forever. Even after reading them, I usually still have no idea what I'm doing and learn best by playing. Dice Legacy does just that; gives you the tips and info you need for gameplay ...
