Purrrifiers: Cleaning Chaos is a co-op chaotic twist on the cleaning simulation genre. It is currently in development by Rubens Games (Pool Cleaning Simulator) and FreeMind Games (House Builder, Aquarist) with publishing by FreeMind Games (aka FreeMind S.A.) and PlayWay S.A. (House Flipper, Serial Cleaner). The demo is available through Steam. Not Quite the Cleanup I was Expecting There are a lot of different simulator games out there. Over the years and having played different types here and there, I've learnt I enjoy ones that get me into a nice groove and calm state. Purrrifiers: Cleaning Chaos sounds a little more spicy than what I would usually pick up, but I couldn't the chance to get an early look at it. The game did take some time for me to warm up to. Ballionaire – PC Demo Preview

It's not surprising that indie game devs can create experiences that delight us consistently. Many indie projects in recent years have been a direct result of game jams during the pandemic years. However, what does surprise me is the growing genre of rogue-like score attack games that take influence from casinos. Ballionaire, created by newojbect and published by Raw Fury, aims to be one of the most cartoonish and fun in this emerging genre. The House always wins Vampire Survivors famously draws its repeatable gameplay loop and old-school graphics from casino psychology. We've seen Balatro and Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers bring poker and blackjack off the table and onto Steam Deck. Ballionaire adds penny drop machines/pachinko to the list, being self-described as a "fast-paced, kin...

Death of the Reprobate – PC Review

Death of the Reprobate is the follow up game to The Procession to Calvary from solo indie developer Joe Richardson, and the final game within the Immortal John Triptych. Those unfamiliar with Richardson's work and who love Monty Python style humour really should rectify this immediately. And yes I am saying this because I am biased! The games are literal works of art. Renaissance art to be precise. However, if you're of a sensitive disposition this is not the review, nor game for you. Nudity, Vulgarity and Renaissance Artwork I have been a fan of Joe Richardson's works since I stumbled upon The Procession To Calvary during the good old Covid lockdowns of 2020. With nothing to do aside staying in my house working and parenting a toddler, I slowly lost my mind. Giving me the perfect mindse...
