Modern travel demands more than traditional luggage and standard accessories. It requires a seamless integration of security, organisation, and efficient power distribution. Scapade has built a reputation for designing lifestyle gear specifically catered to digital nomads, tech-focused professionals, and frequent flyers.

I have been lucky enough to take a look at three of Scapade’s flagship products: the Scapade AirPack Travel Backpack, the Scapade MagCard Pro Magnetic Card Holder, and the Scapade MagPower Max Magnetic Powerbank. By integrating Apple’s Find My tracking capability and advanced Qi2 charging infrastructure directly into everyday carry items, this ecosystem for iPhones presents a clever solution for the modern commuter.

Scapade AirPack Travel Backpack – RRP £124.99

A sleek black backpack sits on a patio table, adorned with a woven pattern. It features a handle, zippers, and rests on patterned textiles, exuding a modern vibe.
The backpack is a lovely size for housing your precious tech.

The foundation of any travel setup is the pack that holds it all together. The Scapade AirPack is an airline-ready, 28-litre backpack engineered specifically to balance security with sophisticated looks.

Design and Ergonomics

The AirPack sports a refined, minimalist aesthetic featuring clean exterior lines and a smooth, water-resistant exterior shell. The lack of loud branding gives the bag a professional appearance suitable for both a high-level corporate boardroom and an airport lounge.

Constructed from a highly durable, weather-sealed synthetic textile, the shell deflects light rain (I’ve had a lot of UK weather to test this!) and also resists abrasions from airport conveyor belts. The back panel features thick, contoured foam padding overlaid with breathable mesh to facilitate airflow, reducing heat buildup against the back during extended wearing. The shoulder straps are dense yet pliable, distributing load weight evenly across the shoulders, and are complemented by a discreet luggage pass-through strap that secures the pack horizontally onto rolling luggage handles.

Functionality and Interior Layout

Internally, the AirPack boasts a 28-litre capacity organised via an intuitive multi-compartment layout. The dedicated rear tech compartment opens independently to reveal a heavily padded sleeve capable of holding a laptop up to 15.6 inches in size. The sleeve safely keeps the laptop away from the base of the bag, protecting it from sudden vertical drops, which is a great idea. Opposite this sleeve are secondary elastic pockets optimised for tablets and documents.

You are not short of locations to store things within the backpack.

The primary central compartment has a wide-mouth structure similar to a clamshell suitcase, allowing the bag to pack flat. This space easily accommodates packing clothing or bulkier camera gear. Peripheral interior walls feature zippered mesh pockets designed to isolate small accessories, while concealed exterior side pockets expand to secure a water bottle or travel umbrella without compromising the bag’s clean image.

Performance and Security Features

The defining element of the AirPack is its native integration with Apple Find My technology. Built directly into the internal chassis of the bag is an authorised tracking module. This means you do not need to purchase a standalone AirTag or look for an aftermarket pocket to slip it into. The backpack pairs seamlessly with the Apple Find My application on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac right out of the box. Never again will you wonder where your bag is. A 2-hour wireless battery charge provides up to 6 months of power for the tracking module.

Concealed between the straps is the wirelessly charged tracking device.

During testing, if the backpack was accidentally left behind, the Find My app sent an immediate separation alert. An alarm could also be played to audibly locate the bag.

While the tracking module is great for sharing location, security is reinforced under the magnetically closed top cover via a built-in, low-profile Transportation Security Administration (TSA) approved combination lock. The dual zips of the main compartment click securely into the integrated combination lock mechanism on the upper side of the pack. This ensures that opportunistic hands cannot slide the zippers open in crowded areas, while still allowing customs authorities to inspect the bag using master keys without destroying the zips. The mechanical lock mechanism operates smoothly, resisting jamming even when the bag is packed to its absolute capacity.

With your travel bag sorted, how about a device equally high in tech to hold your important band and ID cards?

Scapade MagCard Pro Magnetic Card Holder – RRP £39.99

A sleek black leather wallet phone case rests on a patterned tablecloth with green floral designs, exuding a sense of elegance and style.
Elegant, stylish and functional.

When travelling, I love to minimise bulk. Carrying a wallet is not something I like to do, and while your phone can pretty much be your walking bank card, there are times that I need other cards other than those that I have digitally.

Crafted from premium, durable faux leather, the MagCard Pro offers a sophisticated matte finish that complements the backing glass of modern iPhones. The stitching along the perimeter is tight and precise, preventing fraying at stress points where cards are frequently inserted and withdrawn.

Having an ID window is helpful for flashing details on the fly.

Measuring just 12mm in depth and weighing a meagre 75 grams, the wallet preserves the ergonomic profile of your smartphone so that it does not look like a Nokia brick. The interior card slot uses an open, top-loading format with an integrated spring mechanism to keep it closed, ensuring that even if you choose to carry only a single card, it will not inadvertently slip out.

The wallet is securely locked in place thanks to the magnetic attachment.

Functionality and Everyday Utility

The primary functionality of the MagCard Pro centres around its storage capacity, accommodating up to three standard plastic payment cards or ID cards. For me, I found it served well holding my driver’s license, oyster card and credit card.

Beyond its storage capacity, the wallet features an integrated metal kickstand mechanism on its rear panel. This friction-based hinge flips out smoothly, allowing you to prop your smartphone up in either portrait or landscape orientation. I found this perfect for viewing entertainment or conducting hands-free video calls on tables.

The wallet can double as a stand when required.

Performance and Magnetic Strength

To prevent your cards from being thrown across the floor, high-grade N52 neodymium magnets, configured to mirror Apple’s MagSafe specification, are present within the MagCard Pro to keep it safely in place on the back of the phone. When brought near the rear of a compatible iPhone or MagSafe-certified case, the wallet snaps into alignment with a reassuring click. In daily testing, sliding the phone into tight denim pockets did not dislodge the wallet from the phone chassis, showing excellent shear resistance.

Behold the wirelessly charged woven-in tracking device.

The icing on the cake is the addition of Apple’s Find My integration. Wallets are inherently prone to being dropped or misplaced. Because the tracking module is embedded directly within the wallet’s structural casing, its location is broadcast continually through nearby Apple devices. If the wallet detaches from the phone, the phone registers the detachment location immediately. The tracking chip functions flawlessly, maintaining connectivity and allowing you to track it down to the precise room. Once more, the module is wirelessly charged and can play a sound when close by.

Last but not least, the final holiday essential item I have is the…

Scapade MagPower Max Magnetic Powerbank – RRP £59.99

A black wireless charger sits on a floral-patterned tablecloth outdoors, with a glass jar in the background. The setting feels peaceful and relaxed.
10,000mAh of power.

Housing a 10,000 mAh lithium-polymer cell within a surprisingly compact, portable chassis. The exterior of the MagPower Max features a smooth, impact-resistant polycarbonate shell paired with a soft-touch silicone faceplate on the magnetic side. This rubberised surface ensures that when attached to a smartphone, the power bank will not scratch the glass backing or matte finish of the phone.

A series of discrete LED battery indicators are positioned on the side profile of the unit, displaying the remaining capacity in precise increments. The power button sits flush against the housing to prevent accidental activations.

The sturdy metal kickstand is a good feature.

Functionality and Multi-Device Charging

The MagPower Max is equipped with both magnetic wireless output (15W) and dual physical charging ports: a high-speed USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port (20W) and a legacy USB-A port (22.5W). All three can be used concurrently to charge devices. The inclusion of  pass-through allows you to also charge your portable device before charging the battery when connected to a wall charger.

Performance and Thermal Efficiency

The implementation of the Qi2 charging protocol represents a major performance upgrade over older magnetic power banks. Traditional MagSafe-compatible wireless power banks are restricted to 7.5 Watts of output. The MagPower Max leverages the Qi2 protocol to deliver a full 15 Watts of wireless power, matching the speed of premium desktop chargers.

Once more, the battery is going nowhere once locked in place.

During testing, the 15-Watt wireless connection managed to replenish my depleted iPhone 16 Pro Max battery to 50% capacity in approximately 50 minutes.

Even under sustained load, the MagPower Max remained fairly cool, avoiding the aggressive thermal throttling common in lesser third-party batteries. The 10,000 mAh cell provides enough total energy to completely recharge a standard smartphone roughly two times over, delivering reliable peace of mind on long days out.

Conclusion

Scapade has designed a suite of products that address the realities of modern travel. Rather than manufacturing generic accessories and retrofitting them with tech elements, they have woven security and power directly into the structural design of each piece.

The AirPack sets a high benchmark for smart luggage, offering a spacious, organised interior coupled with the physical security of a TSA lock and the digital tracking of Apple Find My. The MagCard Pro refines everyday carry by taking a premium, ultra-slim wallet and giving it utility with an integrated kickstand and tracking security. Finally, the MagPower Max provides the essential energy needed to sustain a digital lifestyle, using the Qi2 standard to deliver 15-Watt wireless speeds without thermal issues.

For travellers looking to eliminate the anxiety of misplaced luggage, dead phone batteries, and bulky pockets, Scapade’s premium lineup presents a highly functional workspace that moves with you wherever you go!

I have been very impressed with the design, engineering and thought that has gone into the Scapade products, which can be used not only for a holiday scenario but also in everyday use.
