The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr Chapter PC Review

Awakening in my room, A strange voice calls out to me advising me to collect a letter and the key to my room from the dresser opposite me. Outside the stranger informs me that he was travelling with me, when we were attacked by a dragon, before then being rescued and brought to Star Haven by the adepts residing here. The Adept travelling with me named Zamarak tells me that the Grand Adept, Ma’Jha-Dro wishes to speak to me and guides me down the hall, Ma’Jha-Dro wishes to test my strength and encourages me to meet him outside where we take part in a brief sparring session. After the sparring session, we are introduced to one of Elsweyr’s main adversaries, The Dragon! Ma’Jha-Dro instructs me to head to the catacombs to help the other adepts...   Gameplay I’m no stranger t...

Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Don’t Dry PS4 Review

Calling all Sierra fans, your favourite 80's sleazy Lounge Lizard has returned, this time on PS4 in Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry. Larry Laffer is back in the gaming saddle after taking the reigns back off his nephew Larry Lovage in the last two ‘alternative’ instalments. Wet Dreams Don’t Dry comes to us from CrazyBunch, who look to return Larry to his point and click adventure roots. The question is, does this game offer up some Stiff Competition or is it just a flaccid failure of a game from a series that should’ve stayed in the 80’s? Gameplay I’m sure anyone old enough to remember the original games only really remembers them because of the adult content and really being ‘too young’ at the time to play the game. This is because for the most part the story content only in...

Rescue HQ Tycoon PC Review – What’s Your Emergency?

My childhood was very much similar to adulthood, my hobbies were games and one of the most memorable ones was Theme Hospital. I remember spending hours and hours pretending I was a doctor or a nurse building the perfect place where everyone was happy and everyone came out alive (oh my sweet child mind for believing this ). Given Rescue HQ Tycoon to review may just have brought back a whole ton of nostalgia giving me the chance to have a whole service station for police, firemen and a hospital to work with! Rescue HQ Tycoon is brought to you by developers Stillalive Studios, the same guys who brought us other sim games such as Bus simulator 18. It is published by  yet more people who made sim style games Aerosoft  who  gave us more fun games such as emergency call 112 and truck simul...

Dollhouse PS4 Review – Dollhouse of horrors

When finding out what game I want to review I always check out what kind of game it is, and as someone who plays a lot of horrors and watches numerous horror films with minimal flinching I thought would take Dollhouse and put my horror gaming skills to the test, but it was not like any other horror game I previously played! From the creators of many games including Ether One and Truck Driver SOEDESCO have teamed up with Creazn Studio and they have released this wonderfully creepy psychological horror 1950's Hollywood film noir for us all to enjoy! it is available on all PS4, PC and Xbox One. Gameplay You're an ex-detective called Marie, who has awoken in a location she does not know along with amnesia, the only thing you remember is the death of your daughter. You can hear a woman...

Anthem – A Game I Still Want to Love

When Anthem released back in February, I was looking forward to a lengthy relationship with a game that brought refreshing gameplay and a new IP to the table from a studio that was well-known for its deep and rich storytelling. I spent more time streaming Anthem than I had anything else in a long while and I thought for sure I had found my new home. Post-launch plans were in place by BioWare for future content to keep the game fresh and things were really looking like they were on track for an avid community for a while to come. This new, shiny treasure was going to be amazing! Sadly though, healthy infancy wasn’t in the cards for Anthem. Almost immediately after the game went live for the full launch, it was already drawing criticism for falling short of its massive potential. Play...

Bubsy Paws on Fire PS4 Review: A Furry-ous Platform… Er?

Bubsy the platforming Bob-Cat returns to us in this latest addition to the series from Accolade, this time courtesy of developers Choice Provisions the creators of games like Runner 3. As a child, I’m going to be honest, I was more into Sonic, but I do remember playing the older Bubsy games. So, when I was given the chance to do this review I thought great, some old school style gaming for a change with a bit of nostalgia sprinkled on for me. Let’s just say I didn’t get what I was expecting… Gameplay Right off the Bat, Bubsy Paws on Fire is a different style of game than I was expecting to play, instead of a traditional Platformer it was very quickly apparent that this is more of a side-scrolling speed-run game. You play as one of 3 characters; Bubsy (of course), Virgil and Wool...

American Fugitive PS4 Review – Old School GTA Returns!

American Fugitive developed by British studio Fallen Tree Games and published by Curve Digital is a 3D top-down open world game that has strong roots with the original Grand Theft Auto games.  Available across all platforms, I was lucky enough to take the PS4 version out for a spin! Gameplay American Fugitive is set in a quiet American country town called Redrock County back in the 1980s and yes it is single player.  You take on the character of Will Riley who arrives at his father's house following a late night phone call to find him lying dead on the floor.  Even though you had no part to play in the cold-blooded murder of your father, you are framed and locked up in a prison.  Powered by vengeance and determination to find out who actually committed the crime you break out of jail...

Warhammer: Chaosbane PC Review – Crushing the Chaos Hordes

After playing the beta in March of this year I was left wanting more as it was short and a snippet of sorts on what was to come. Then I was lucky enough to have access to the full version of the game just before it was released. Developed by Eko Software, Warhammer: Chaosbane will be on general sale on the 4th of June but people who had pre-ordered the game had early access on the 31st of May which will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Without revealing too many spoilers, let's not waste time and get smashing up those Chaos hordes once more. Gameplay The game has 2 modes: Story and Online. Unfortunately, at the time of testing, I was unable to get an online game. The one time I waited a decent amount of time, it found one but it was full. I will revisit this once...

Pandemic Express: Zombie Escape PC review – One Way Ticket To Death

Escaping real-life playing an escaping game, sounds like the best kind of game right? how about if you're thrown a curve ball including zombies, trains and guns! perfect? given the opportunity to play Pandemic Express: Zombie Escape gave me the wonderful option to do exactly this. Gameplay From the creators of fun games such as Hello Neighbour and Guts and Glory, TinyBuild Games have created yet another quirky game for us all to play all the way from America. Starting in a "cell" type room, filled with other prisoners ( Around Thirty - To be exact ) each and every one of them another player, you don't know who's going to be the zombie, all you know is it's going to be one of you and the second the lobby is full and the timer goes down the enemy will be revealed to you all. if you're l...

Rage 2 PC Review – Welcome To The Wasteland

It's been eight years since the original Rage came out, and honestly until Rage 2 got announced I never thought there would be a follow-up. The original Rage was a fun game, albeit a bit short and linear. My interest was piqued, especially when I saw that Avalanche Studios was also attached to the project. They've had their fair share of experience making a fun post-apocalyptic open world with Mad Max (A game I thoroughly enjoyed). Co-developed by Avalanche Studios and id Software, and published by Bethesda, Rage 2 has high promise to be a good time. Let's jump in and find out how it is! Gameplay Stepping into the post-apocalyptic playground of Rage 2, you're immediately greeted by deranged half-mutant half-tech creations trying to kill you. They call themselves The Authority. Armed ...
