Crossfire: Legion Preview

Developed by Blackbird Interactive (who brought you such games as the Homeworld series) and published by Prime Matter comes Crossfire: Legion. An RTS that is looking to hit you right in the nostalgic feels, as at first glance it seems to be a spiritual successor to the classic Command & Conquer. Crossfire: Legion features some classic tactical action, reminiscent of that of a classic RTS that's in the near future where you have to gather resources, build your base and build your army ready to battle against your foes. Did you know it was a spin-off to Crossfire; an Online FPS that's number 1 in the world with 690 million players and 8 million concurrent users?  I didn't nor have I heard of the game before, but it is mainly based in the Asian market and, it's highly successful on ...

Razer Huntsman Mini Review

Razer has been, in the last few years, the almost go-to brand when looking to get a new gaming keyboard. Whether being a first time PC Gamer or an old hand, you have to check out the latest on what Razer are offering. Being an 0ld school PC gamer, it's tough for me to adapt especially with the push of RGB (no thanks). I have my way and from time to time, and it becomes harder to adapt to something a bit different. However, the 60% keyboards have been on my radar for a bit. After changing from full phat keyboards to TKL in 2014, a change was on the horizon. Why go Full Phat when you can have 60% Last year, Razer entered the 60% keyboard market with the Huntsman Mini, an area of keyboards that seems to have exploded with popularity with minimalist setups and of course streamers and esports...

Red Solstice 2: Survivors Preview Event

I was lucky enough to attend an exclusive 505 game Zoom presentation where I got the chance to look at Red Solstice 2: Survivors and how the game was coming along.  If you don't know anything about Red Solstice 2: Survivors, it is a Strategy RPG Real-Time Tactics style game (think of XCOM) based in the future; well year 117 after Earth's STROL mutant invasion and your tasks to assemble to counter the threat. The developer Irownard split the preview up into 3 sections: introduction to the 6 classes,  showing the strategy layer of the game, and then the player experience. The Classes Assault: The assault class are experts in the frontline and excels in any frontline activity.  They are commonly deployed to secure territorial gains or clear perimeters. They are highly trained opera...

Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins Review – Don’t Blink

Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is a "Lost Phone" Style game developed by Kaigan Games, the same team that did Sara is Missing and the Simulacra series.  It's published by Maze Theory and Another Indie, and it's available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Google Play Store, and Apple Store. The game is based and expands on one of the more famous episodes of the modern era of Doctor Who Called Blink (From Episode 10 of the third season Of the Tenth Doctor Played by David Tennant.) where in the Wester Drumlins, you meet the Weeping Angels. Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins - Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Not only the lore of a Doctor Who game that piqued my interest, but the idea of having...

Colourblind Watch: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

After my Colourblind and Gaming article a few weeks ago, I've decided to keep an eye on games that have or add Colourblind options to games. As part of a new series focusing on accessibility in gaming, I'm introducing you all to Colourblind Watch! Today, the topic is Colourblind Watch: Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Colourblind Watch: Assassin's Creed Valhalla - What's New? Recently I purchased Assassin's Creed Valhalla on PC and it's the first game on the Colourblind Watch list. Colourblind and Gaming

I first discovered I was colourblind at the age of 7 while in class at primary school, looking at a chalkboard and struggling to read the yellow writing. After this incident, I went to have my eyes checked and sure enough, I was diagnosed as colourblind. In this post, I'm going to be looking at what it's like being colourblind and being a gamer. What is ColourBlindness? Colourblindness affects 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women. Until recently, I had believed that colourblindness only affected men. This was the common belief when I was growing up. But we now know that even though it is a lot less common for women, they can also suffer from this type of visual impairment. The classic colourblindness test can be carried out using Ishihara plates. If you can’t see the number 3, then you’re pro...
