A couple of months ago fellow TC writer Jas and I headed oFf to Tobacco Dock, London to see the latest games on display at WASD. It was filled with indie devs galore and along with a few larger developers, made a fun-filled day out. I've been to Tobacco Dock previously for work, so was aware of how much space there is to be filled and having never been to EGX Rezzed, I was expecting the venue to be packed to the rafters with both exhibitors and the public. Doodle Derby is a physics racing platformer inspired by bringing together all the things that once lived in your toybox as a child. Developed by Studio Erikson and published by Headup. Final Thoughts Doodle Derby is a great indie game, and as you can see in the video I thoroughly enjoyed playing it and keep going back for more, dam those medals are addictive! Fortnite comes to xCloud

Battle Royale titan Fortnite has become the first free-to-play game on Xbox Cloud Gaming service xCloud. Ever since Epic Games took Apple and Google to task over their app store fees, it has been near impossible to play Fortnite on a mobile device. But now Epic have partnered with Microsoft to get Fortnite on pretty much every screen via the Xbox Cloud Gaming service. All you need to play is a Microsoft Account and internet access on a compatible device (or a web browser). There is also support for touchpads, gamepads and even Steam Deck. Ali-A and YouTube Launch $100,000 Competition

During a fireside chat at the WASD event in London Ali-A has announced, in partnership with YouTube, the launch of a new global talent show, to find the next star gaming creator along with a grand prize of $100,000! The uTure show kicks off today at 6pm (9 April 2022) with the entry process being opened up for submissions from until the 8 May 2022. The submissions must be in English and submitted as a YouTube Short, the video platforms new TikTok-style video format, of up to 60 seconds. Applicants must then upload their video to YouTube Shorts using the hashtag #uTureShow, then submit it to uture.show to be in with a chance to appear on the show. The best selling game of 2021 Call of Duty: Vanguard has gone free-to-play for a limited time, due to poor post-launch sales.
