Stupid Never Dies is an Action Rougelike RPG from GPTRACK50 Inc. A game that takes the unique chaos form of Hades with a sweet yet slightly weird twist on Romeo and Juliet. With Werewolves, Harpies and so many different creatures of legend. But, oh boy, they take some sweet liberty on the lore and designs on the monsters. So, let polish our Style Eat our way into the review.
I honestly can’t believe about what I learned when it comes to the Phoenix Egg Davy ate.

Gameplay
We play as Davy, a zombie who has run away from the war and resides in a mall. Where he comes across a mysterious young lady frozen to death in a freezer. From there, Davy falls for her and swears to never eat humans again. While roaming the mall for food, he came across a store with lights on and an egg. He devours the egg and gains the ability to Style Eat. A power he got from the egg which is meant to help defeat K.M.O.
With the assistance from the cast being Frank, Acelino the Were-chihuahua, Bessie the zombie and Goyle, we make our way to K.M.O. We use the toilet Professor Frank cooked to start our descent into the layers to go fight the killer of humanity. On our way there, we use our new fighting style against these creatures and take their power. However depending on your normal playstyle, you would have to make sure the shift hits correctly. Occasionally I keep wanting to get the Werewolf, Lich or something else, but RNG just keeps giving me Harpies and I’m just not in the mood for flying chickens.
You will get things like zombie receipts that help boost your run. There’s also the Overtechnology that Acelino will install into us to make our runs even sweeter with some crazy Body Hacks. However, you will be taken in from the very first stage and choose where to go every time. Luckily, our exp percentage continues to rise with each run and has no cap that I’ve come across.

Graphics and Audio
Stupid Never Dies literally is as chaotic and the mind of the protagonist Davy. The way they present the opening cutscene with different art styles from a kid drew it to newspaper clippings. But, once we get into the game, we get some amazing art designs for the characters and the environments. Yet, the other part of the graphics I love is the fact that when introducing new enemies from Davy’s point of view.
There’s random graffiti and drawings that appear on random parts of the image for said enemy. But what really takes the cake is the amazing impact animations when consuming souls and when Davy uses Davy Burst. Nevertheless that mode gives us a crazy dance number with enemies that have a Jinx like appearance from Arcane. And boy howdy do I get too into the burst with that music just triggering the fight mode in my brain.
The OST of the games slowly unlocks little by little from boss fights and unlocking new areas. Yet, something GPTRACK50 Inc does differently from other games is that it lets you make remixes of the OST and use them in game. Honestly, I never thought I wanted something like this until I got it. Knowing something like this motivates me more to continue the hunt for more OSTs to make a great remix to have during my runs.

Longevity
Stupid Never Dies is honestly feeling like it’s going to take several tens of hours if not near a hundred. The reason I feel this is because with the Body Hacks that can change the gameplay and your runs. Plus with the challenges you’d need to do and unlock several ingredients to unlock new meals to help in our runs. Honestly, I invested almost a whole day and was able to get through the first layer and was able to complete the second layer. The story and combat is what makes it honestly hard to put down.

Final Thoughts
Stupid Never Dies is by far a great game to play. For GPTRACK50 Inc‘s first game, they hit it out of the park. This game was something that I felt the gaming industry has been slightly doing but too afraid to do themselves. Yet, we have a game whose personality is everywhere and there is almost no limit to what we can do. If this is what we should expect from them, I can’t wait what their next game is going to be like.
I give Stupid Never Dies the Thumb Culture Platinum Award
