Vivid World – PC Review

Vivid World is an Action, Adventure, Strategy game from Asobism. The successor to another game from Asobism called Vivid Knight released back on May 26, 2021. Available on Steam, this is an adorable dark pastel game that gives me notes of games like Labrinth of Refrain and Etrian Odyssey for their party build mechanics. Bejeweled except if people were trapped inside and you just have to get 3 to level them up. Vivid World has a good amount of pros and cons to how their system works. However the game's mechanics simple and easy to grasp once you go through your first dungeon. But, enough of that. Let's grab as many crystals as we can and get to the review before someone runs out of mana. Gameplay You play as Lemuria, a witch in training who was just in class as usual, when out of no...

Dispatch – PC Review

Dispatch is an Action, Adventure Indie game produced and developed by AdHoc Studio. After reading Paul's preview article of the game, I was first drawn to Dispatch because of the art style and dialog. It gave me that old school nostalgia I feel for TellTale Games, especially when it game to the game's  humour and dialog choices. Imagine my surprise when I did research on the team that I find out they were ex Telltale employees. It must have been the best of the best because holy mother of ducks was my experience with Dispatch amazing. So, who do you believe is the best choice to go after? Invisagal or Blonde Blazer? As someone who loves and replays the classic Telltale games like Sam n' Max, The Wolf Among Us, and others. Dispatch did scratch my Telltale games itch that finally got scrat...

Frosthaven – PC Preview

Frosthaven is a RPG, Strategy game from Sanpshot Games. Fun fact, some of these developers actually worked on the X-COM games before forming Snapshot Games. Which greatly explains the RTS in a bird's eye view whole aesthetics. I have hundreds of hours under the X-COM flag. Besides at the very least a point-blank shot doesn't have a chance to completely miss. You must choose who to fight as from a list of six characters, but why did you choose the same character FOUR TIMES!!!!! The game is out now in Early Access on Steam. Which means this will be a nice little preview, rather then a full review. Being a multiplayer game, and to get a proper feel for it, I grabbed Thumb Culture's Stu, Kyle and Nathan, then headed on in. If you're specifically looking for my thoughts on the latest updat...

Jump Space – PC Preview

Jump Space is a co-op, mission-based FPS that just launched into early access on Steam and Xbox. For this preview we got hands on with the PC version.  Gather up to three of your friends and follow developer Keepsake Games into the void of space. You'll crew your own ship, fight in space and on the ground, and work together against a spreading robotic corruption. Join the resistance today! Jump... and Shoot and Fly and Loot! Ok before we get into it, I need to own up to something. In my opinion the Jump to Lightspeed content in Star Wars Galaxies was peak for me. It was my first experience in an MMO and I absolutely loved getting into space on a ship of my own or as part of a crew for someone else. It was a highlight in my gaming experience that I will forever pursue to feel again. Wh...

SHUTEN ORDER – PC Review

SHUTEN ORDER is an Adventure game with the developer being Nelo inc. With the backing coming from Spike Chunsoft, which in a moment will make a lot of sense. Reason for that last statement is because the whole game has the whole Danganronpa vibe. From the art style, the game's execution, to even the pacing of the game will make you think so. I honestly had a complete blast playing detective through out the entire journey. The only thing to keep in mind is, the game will continue to change into something different when hunting down your killer. So, lets pray to God and use the power of said God and start the review. When using God's Power, always have your QTE skills sharp as a knife. Gameplay You start as Rei, someone who was resurrected to discover their killer and to get their bo...

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 PC Review

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is an Action, Adventure made by CyberConnect2. With assistance with publishing from SEGA. This game is a continuation of the first game Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles. It's a hand in hand rendition of the anime Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba-. To the point that we only get these games after a year when the anime ended. So, if you want to know more about the story, then I highly recommend watching the anime. Unless you're like me and want to immerse yourself into the world and get your hands dirty, then be my guest. Something else I want to touch on is going to be CyberConnect2's history with making anime renditions of games. They previously had their hands in making the entire Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm...

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate PC Review

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate is an action-adventure FPS from the long-standing company, Bungie. The Edge of Fate is the ninth expansion, which has you literally dealing with the Nine. For those who don't know the lore of Destiny 2, or hasn't been playing Destiny since 2014 I'll explain. The Nine is a group consisting of cosmic beings that have an unimaginable amount of power that makes armies look like ants. I would recommend listening to the lore videos on mynameisbyf's YouTube channel. While investigating the EDZ, Ikora comes across this weird signal that she checks out with her Hidden beside her. Moments from getting the transmission, a train appears out of nowhere and clearly leaves behind what seems an invitation. This leads her to the actual edge of the universe to land on Kepler, ...

No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES – PC Review

No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES is an Adventure game, made by the wild minds from Spike Chunsoft. They're behind not only this series, but many others like Danganronpa and Stein's Gate. Basically, most of my favourite story telling adventure games came from this company. No Sleep for Kaname Date is the third instalment of the AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES series and launches today (25th July) on Steam. As someone who's invested over a combined 80 hours from the first two alone, this was actually an amazing addition. Remember, when you're feeling sad or lost, just pick up a Porn-o mag to wash away the pain. When it comes to the timeline of the game, this one take place between both the first game and nirvanA Initiative. Getting to do the puzzles so blind that I had no guides...

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army – PC Review

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is an action, RPG branching from the Shin Megami Tensei series. With the publishing power of ATLUS and the funding from SEGA, we finally get this game. This is a remaster of Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army. Originally released on the PlayStation 2 on October 10th, 2006, it was just one of several subseries under the SMT umbrella. I'm thrilled to get to play this game again after over a decade since my last playthrough, this time on PC! It's honestly going to be a bit difficult to remember everything from that version over the remaster. But, I'm going to give it a shot! Be it demon, human, or something in-between. As long as I got Gouto, my sword and my gun, nothing will stand in my way! It's the year Taisho 20 in T...

Ruffy and the Riverside – PC Review

Ruffy and the Riverside is an action, adventure game from Zockrates Laboratories UG with the publishing assistance from Phiphen Games. This game is a beautiful return to the classic collectathon genre. Games like Banjo-Kazooie and Paper Mario are huge inspirations to the game. I honestly wanted to add 'puzzle' to the list of genres for this game due to the crazy amount of puzzles in it. I didn't but, it's the puzzles definitely form a good part of its personality. You'll need a really good wheel of hay to travel these woods. Without it, it'll be one bale of a time. Th game may not be out until 26th June, but you can still Wishlist it on Steam today! Or if you want to give it a try before you buy, I recommend the demo, it's really fun! Gameplay Ruffy and the Riverside starts you out...
