Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault – PC Preview

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, developed by Digital Sun and published by 11 bit studios, is a direct sequel to the first Moonlighter game and is available now on Steam in Early Access. The full release date is still to be determined. The sequel picks up the story shortly after where the first game left off. Things aren't looking too great though, as Rynoka has been taken over, forcing everyone to flee and settle somewhere new. Now, their main goal is getting their hometown back. Conveniently, a mysterious, floating vault has appeared in the town square promising to grant wishes, but only if you manage to earn a massive amount of gold. So, it looks like Will is going to have to set up shop once more! Moonlighter 2: Endless Boogaloo? I absolutely love the first Moonlighter game, so I...

Vivid World – PC Review

Vivid World is an Action, Adventure, Strategy game from Asobism. The successor to another game from Asobism called Vivid Knight released back on May 26, 2021. Available on Steam, this is an adorable dark pastel game that gives me notes of games like Labrinth of Refrain and Etrian Odyssey for their party build mechanics. Bejeweled except if people were trapped inside and you just have to get 3 to level them up. Vivid World has a good amount of pros and cons to how their system works. However the game's mechanics simple and easy to grasp once you go through your first dungeon. But, enough of that. Let's grab as many crystals as we can and get to the review before someone runs out of mana. Gameplay You play as Lemuria, a witch in training who was just in class as usual, when out of no...

ASKA – PC Early Access Preview

ASKA is an open-world survival, colony management simulator. Currently in development by Sand Sailor Studio (Black The Fall), it is available right now as an early access title with Thunderful Publishing (GODBREAKERS). ASKA is only releasing on PC initially and you can pick it up over on Steam. Make ASKA Your Next Viking Adventure I will admit that I'm fairly sure I've seen advertisements for ASKA come across my feeds on occasion. I didn't look into it further because I heard "Viking" and "survival" and thought of Valheim. What I found was that and so much more; a pleasant surprise. I should have been remembering the fun times I had in Valheim and seeing else ASKA has to offer. Let me tell you why you should too in the review of its current state below. An impressive feature that is some...

The Last Case of John Morley – PC Review

I'll be attempting to uncover dark truths from 20 years ago in The Last Case of John Morley. It was created by Indigo Studios - Interactive Stories, and has us step into the shoes of the titular character John Morley. Will this truly be his last case? Who knows? See, thanks to this random hair I've found, clearly the perp doesn't close the door. Do you enjoy a mystery?  If you do, then you'll need to add this to your Steam wishlist! Gameplay Our character, John Morley, wakes up after sustaining an injury from his last case. He is then quickly discharged from the hospital and upon returning to his offices is approached by an elderly woman. Who requests that he look into a murder cold case at Bloomsbury Manor which occurred 20 years ago. We of course take the job, because you know a ...

Syberia Remastered – PS5 Review

Syberia, originally released in 2002, is a cult classic. The brainchild of the late Belgian comic artist Benoit Sokal, it combines steampunk and Art-Nouveau aesthetics with melancholic storytelling. 23 years later, Microids Paris and Virtuallyz Gaming present Syberia Remastered, launched on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 6th November 2025. This was my first time playing the series as a whole. However I've played a click and point game before so I'm going to give it everything I've got. The remaster promises updated visuals, modern controls, and a few reworked puzzles. Does it live up to the hype, or is it just a dusty classic with a fresh coat of paint? A Journey of Rust and Snow In Syberia Remastered, you control Kate Walker, an American lawyer sent to the fictional town of Valadilè...

Dispatch – PC Review

Dispatch is an Action, Adventure Indie game produced and developed by AdHoc Studio. After reading Paul's preview article of the game, I was first drawn to Dispatch because of the art style and dialog. It gave me that old school nostalgia I feel for TellTale Games, especially when it game to the game's  humour and dialog choices. Imagine my surprise when I did research on the team that I find out they were ex Telltale employees. It must have been the best of the best because holy mother of ducks was my experience with Dispatch amazing. So, who do you believe is the best choice to go after? Invisagal or Blonde Blazer? As someone who loves and replays the classic Telltale games like Sam n' Max, The Wolf Among Us, and others. Dispatch did scratch my Telltale games itch that finally got scrat...

The Last Caretaker – PC Early Access Preview

The Last Caretaker is a first-person crafting survival game by developers Channel37. Embark upon a voyage on the vast planet-wide ocean while searching for clues to restore humanity. Explore, craft, and survive against rogue robots and a corruption spread across everything. The game is available starting November 6ths on Steam and the Epic Games store, with a later date planned for consoles. Last and Lonely Caretaker There have been so many survival crafting games over the past ten years or so that I've lost count. Too many involve zombies. Even more involve some facet of PvP as a core mechanic. But The Last Caretaker looks a bit different. A bit less jumpy and much more inquisitive. So what are my thoughts on the game as it hits early access? Check them out below. Gameplay The Las...

Simon the Sorcerer Origins – PC Review

Being a complete point-and-click adventure and pixel art nut, the first two Simon the Sorcerer games are very close to my heart. And with the three sequels that followed leaving a considerable amount to be desired, it seemed as though the series was long forgotten. Enter Simon the Sorcerer Origins by newcomers Smallthing Studios, available on Steam. Opting for a prequel rather than a sequel/reboot, Origins claims to go back to what Simon the Sorcerer does best with comical puzzles, British banter and fourth wall breaks. Is it fourth time's the charm for a worthy series addition and in line with its 30th anniversary? I had to find out! Have We Met Before? Set weeks before the events of the first game, Simon and his family have moved house after his expulsion from yet another school. Wh...
