Tour de France 22 – PC Review

Once again Nacon and Cyanide Studios have teamed up to release Tour de France 22. If you enjoy this review head over to our website to see all our other game and hardware reviews! Race to the Champs Elysees! Now I admit there is only so much you can do with a sports simulation game, as the actual sport doesn't change that much, it's either race to the finish or score more goals than the other team. However where other sports sims have improved have been the graphics and audio, the last few additions of this game have been a copy and paste job of the previous edition so let's dive into the game to find out if it is or not! Gameplay As you woul...

Superclub Review

Superclub is a football management simulation board game published by Superclub themselves. Released in 2020 it's a 2-4 player game that will test the greatest of friendships to see who is the best manager. This Superclub review is something a little new for us. Superclub - Who Will Be The Special One? Now it may just be me but I prefer a good old management football game. Much better than playing the latest FIFA anyway. Ever since I was a kid playing Championship Manager on the Commodore Amiga I've always loved the ins and out of running a football club. From tactics to scouting and buying players. Superclub gives you all that drama and then some in the form of a tabletop board game. So let's crack on with this Superclub review, shall we? If you enjoyed this review then why not check...

Mario Strikers: Battle League Switch Review

A couple of hours into my time with Mario Strikers: Battle League the possibilities of the game’s gear system clicked—by gear system, I mean clothing items you unlock to upgrade the characters. Each new bit of gear tweaks the strength, speed, shooting, passing, technique of whichever character you choose. It’s a balanced system—if you increase one stat, another stat declines an equal amount. Before my revelation I’d wondered why anyone would bother with that kind of micro-management. There are ten players to choose from—Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Donkey Kong and so on—and rather than tweak the stats, surely it’s just as easy to choose a different player. If Donkey Kong is too slow, I could go ahead and pick Yoshi instead. Toad is the quickest player in the game. Now I saw some pote...

Monster Energy Supercross 5 Review

Developed by Italian studio Milestone, Monster Energy Supercross 5 is the latest release in the annual series and the second to release on next-gen consoles. Having seen what they achieved on the acclaimed Hot Wheels Unleased and coupled with my pining for the Motorstorm series of games to return, I was excited to check this title out. Monster Energy Supercross 5 - Who will gain the Holeshot? The game is out now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Steam. Reviewed here on PS5 the title has an install size of 15.37GB. Gameplay As I started into the Futures Academy I was impressed and bewildered at the same time. Impressed by the tutorials which feature fully voiced explanation videos teaching how to master the different skills in Supercross. However, I was baffled by the really l...

OlliOlli World Review

OlliOlli World is the latest game by Roll 7 - who also created OlliOlli and OlliOlli 2. Published by Private Division, OlliOlli World is out on pretty much everything except mobile. Interestingly, the PC version doesn't support playing with a mouse and keyboard. Has that ever happened before? Any of you that have booted up an OlliOlli game before will know that playing these titles with a mouse and keyboard would be impossible, so it makes sense. I’ve played the previous two OlliOlli games, mainly on the Vita. So I have to say playing OlliOlli World on the Switch made me feel right at home. A Brave New OlliOlli World It’s been 7-ish years since OlliOlli 2 launched. That’s a pretty long time to wait between sequels. Have you been hankering for more OlliOlli in that time? Have you never...

Rugby 22 Review

Parisian development studio NACON and Eko Software are aiming to score some much-needed points in the rugby game market with the release of Rugby 22. However, does it convert those points into a winning formula? Let's jump in and find out in this review. Does Rugby 22 Try Too Hard Or Does It Convert Perfectly? As a player and rugby fan myself, I was eager to get my teeth into this title. I've long bemoaned the fact that rugby hasn't been as well represented on console and PC as perhaps its footballing and NFL counterparts. As a follow up to the somewhat averagely-received Rugby 20, Rugby 22 should come as a real treat for those eagerly awaiting an updated rugby gaming experience. So, I was keen to see how far things have developed in this particular area of sports games in the last de...
