Judgment PS4 Review – Fists of Justice?

Judgment is the latest release from Ryu ga Gotoku Studios & Sega, the teams that created the well-loved Yakuza series. Judgment is being called the spiritual successor to Yakuza as its set in the same fictional Japanese Red-Light District of Kamurocho. But, it's set after the conclusion of the Kiryu Saga. As a fan of the Yakuza series, I was both excited and a little nervous about getting my hands on Judgment and seeing what might be contained within… Gameplay Players take on the role of former Lawyer turned Detective Takayuki Yagami. Weighed down by the knowledge that he was responsible for the acquittal of a Murder suspect who then killed his own girlfriend. Yagami is entangled in a case where his former employer is defending a Yakuza charged with murder and thus our story un...

Rescue HQ Tycoon PC Review – What’s Your Emergency?

My childhood was very much similar to adulthood, my hobbies were games and one of the most memorable ones was Theme Hospital. I remember spending hours and hours pretending I was a doctor or a nurse building the perfect place where everyone was happy and everyone came out alive (oh my sweet child mind for believing this ). Given Rescue HQ Tycoon to review may just have brought back a whole ton of nostalgia giving me the chance to have a whole service station for police, firemen and a hospital to work with! Rescue HQ Tycoon is brought to you by developers Stillalive Studios, the same guys who brought us other sim games such as Bus simulator 18. It is published by  yet more people who made sim style games Aerosoft  who  gave us more fun games such as emergency call 112 and truck simul...

Dollhouse PS4 Review – Dollhouse of horrors

When finding out what game I want to review I always check out what kind of game it is, and as someone who plays a lot of horrors and watches numerous horror films with minimal flinching I thought would take Dollhouse and put my horror gaming skills to the test, but it was not like any other horror game I previously played! From the creators of many games including Ether One and Truck Driver SOEDESCO have teamed up with Creazn Studio and they have released this wonderfully creepy psychological horror 1950's Hollywood film noir for us all to enjoy! it is available on all PS4, PC and Xbox One. A Plague Tale: Innocence PC Review – The Woods Strike Back!

Back in April, I had an opportunity to preview A Plague Tale and I was, even more, luckier to have an opportunity to review the full game. When I played the preview, it was a cut-down, 3 part story. A Sampler of sorts which gave me enough to see what was going to give me in the full release but this weekend I had a good few hours to see what has been updated and to carry on with the story. If you didn't see the preview, A Plague Tale: Innocence is developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive and is available right now on PC (Steam), Xbox One and PlayStation 4. So let's return once more to the plague-ridden kingdom of France in 1309 and see where Amicia De Rune will take us. Hopefully not in the woods again... Gameplay I managed to play a chunk of the game wh...

Shadowgate PS4 Review – A Modern Day Text based Adventure

I’m sure any of the older gamers amongst us will know Shadowgate from the original iteration back on the NES. Well, Zojoi Studios have updated the classic text-based/point & click RPG for modern day gaming. Being completely honest, this one completely flew under my radar and the first I heard of it coming to PS4 was when it appeared for us to review it. Classic text-based games such as Zork were a big part of my childhood, along with the old choose your own adventure books (for any of you that remember those). So I was more than happy to jump on board and do the review (even though I didn’t play the original on the NES). Does Shadowgate do justice to the 80’s classics? Are text-based games still relevant in a gaming world that contains big open world RPGs like Skyrim and The Witc...
