Across The Obelisk – Switch Review

Across the Obelisk, developed by Dreamsite Games and published by Paradox Interactive, is a roguelike deckbuilding game that pulls players into a world of card-based strategy. In this fantasy adventure, you'll craft powerful decks, make crucial decisions, and lead a party of heroes through a turmoil-filled realm. The game's blend of strategic depth, replayability, and cooperative elements offers an engaging experience that can be enjoyed solo or with friends. They didn't just make it Across the Obelisk. They smashed it. The mix of strategic deckbuilding and a rogue-lite element hooked me from the start. Like Darkest Dungeon, but with cards, Across the Obelisk offers tactical depth and beautiful hand-drawn art, but with the added excitement of crafting powerful decks and making impactfu...

Ki-Ki-Ki-Honk-Honk-Honk I love a good Asym game, sinking thousands of hours into dead by daylight, Texas chainsaw massacre, and others. the loss of Friday the 13th the game was a devastating loss to the community, especially for those who relished stalking players in atmospheric maps as the menacing Jason Voorhees, or as a victim evading his pursuit. Thankfully, Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game (mostly) succeeds in being as chaotic and fun, and even more so in some areas. Gameplay Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game, or as I’l...

V Rising – PS5 Review

V Rising is a game about a vampire who really needs to get up an escalator by any means necessary. It was released on PS5 And PC on June 11th after an early access period lasting two years. You really are the most devious vampire... I enjoyed what I played of V Rising in its early access state, but felt like the more linear progression system held it back, how has my opinion changed since? Find out! Gameplay V Rising is an online survival game first and foremost with a lot of inspiration from the Diablo series evident in its HUD, isometric view, and artstyle. The game may look similar to the Diablo series and an ARPG at first (even pointed out by a fellow writer when I was typing up this review) but V Rising carves out its niche with its survival gameplay. Survival Mechanics Now ...

Sker Ritual – PC Review

I'm checking out the new game from Wales Interactive called Sker Ritual. The name might ring some bells as they did have a previous horror game as well called Maid of Sker. Although, that entry was a single-player horror experience. Their new game, however, takes a rather bold direction by switching to a round-based zombie shooter similar to Call of Duty Zombies.  You and up to three friends can fight waves together as Sker Ritual is available now on Steam for £19.99. The game is still in early access, but its full 1.0 release will be on the 18th of this month. There's a demo also available for the game for those looking to try before you buy. Nôl i mi eu heneidiau! From the Steam page, the Sker Ritual takes place after the events of Maid of Sker. The story primarily will appear throu...

The Outlast Trials – PS5 Review

The Outlast Trials is a first-person survival horror game developed and published by Red Barrels. Unlike the other two entries they've created, which were single-player. This one has decided to take the online route. The game supports up to four players in online co-op. You will finish puzzles and hide from mad experiments together. Released on March 25th for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam, The Outlast Trials is available now. Seems like a great business opportunity. After being promptly abducted, subjected to all kinds of horror and forced to consent to the trials, the player has goggles drilled into their head. Subsequently, the c...
