Phasmophobia – PS5 Early Access

You know when you're 8 years old and it's Christmas and you've never been so excited in your entire life? That was me when I woke up to a key for Phasmophobia on PS5. Kinetic Games first announced a console version of their hit game back in June 2023 and since then has hit a few bumps in the road. With a full overhaul of the PC version last year, a studio fire and multiple setbacks, the console version has been repeatedly delayed. Now it's finally here, ready and raring to launch on Xbox and PlayStation. It's safe to say I'm a big fan of Phasmophobia, but with unforeseen challenges and a winding road to release does it actually live up to the standards that Kinetic Games set for themselves? Only one way to find out! I didn't sink hundreds of hours into this to be taken out by a Shade ...

Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland – PC Review

When Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland was announced I immediately sensed the nostalgia. The 90s were a magical time, especially if you grew up glued to Nickelodeon, absorbing episodes of Rugrats like a sponge. Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, and the troublemaking twins Phil and Lil were more than just cartoon characters; they were part of our childhood. A platformer that marries retro 8-bit glory with HD polish, starring our favourite diapered heroes? Count me in! Published and developed by The MIX Games and Wallride, we covered the news about the release of Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland earlier this month. It is currently available digitally on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4|5, and Nintendo Switch. Smells like nostalgia Having spent time shuffling through the world of Gameland, I'm her...

The Casting of Frank Stone – PS5 Review

The Casting of Frank Stone takes the universe of Dead by Daylight (with original story) and turns it into the interactive storytelling style that I know and love from Supermassive Games. There are two versions of the game, standard (£32.99) and deluxe (£39.99). The deluxe version includes instant access to the “Cutting Room Floor” and some additional outfits. Honestly, I prefer playing the killer myself. Now, I’m not such a fan of the actual gameplay style of Dead by Daylight, but I enjoy the lore it has. That’s why I was happy to see The Casting of Frank Stone in this kind of gameplay style. I have played a good few of Supermassive Games previous titles, such as Until Dawn, Dark Pictures series and The Quarry. All fantastic games in my opinion. I’m really hoping the The Casting of F...

Vampire Survivors – PS5 Review

Vampire Survivors is a 2022 roguelike shoot'em up game developed and published by Luca Glanace. The game has been so popular that Glanace went on to found 25 person strong studio Poncle, who work solely on the game. Vampire Survivors is initially set in Italy, where hordes of monsters have been summoned by the face of the game, our very own evil Bisconte Draculó. Which very closely resembles the tale of Count Dracula. He has set monsters upon the land to ravage. The Belpaese family and other heroic survivors take it upon themselves to hunt down and defeat Draculó. The later introduced DLCs include more heroes, more locations and even more chaotic fun than before! The game had been in an early access period from December 2021 and has now finally hit the PlayStation storefront. After a lo...

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 – PC Review

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a follow-up to the first Space Marine game that was released back in 2011. Developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. With a 3rd person aspect and combining a hack-n-slash with a shoot-em-up, Space Marine 2 is by far the most brutal game I have played in a long time! Releasing on PC, PS5 and Xbox X|S it utilises the amazing Swarm Engine, first seen in the immensely popular World War Z. Space Marine 2 will be fully crossplay from day 1! Space Marine 2 - Making Destiny Look Like a Disney Film Warhammer 40,000, in some shape or form, will have waltzed into your gaming life at some point. For me it was during the early 90s, my school had a Warhammer after-school club. Carefully painted lead figurines were deployed onto a makesh...
