While on Steam I was looking for a new FPS game, with some grungy visuals. And luckily I came across PIGFACE, published by DreadXP, and created by Titolovesyou, comes an ultra-violent shooter. Where we take down gangs, by any mean necessary. PIGFACE is currently in early access on Steam for £8.50, which is not that bad of a price.
Murder has been served.

Gameplay
We play as a character, whose name I think is called Exit. Who awakes in an old rundown building with no recollection of why she is here. The player quickly finds out that a bomb has been surgically implanted into Exit’s head. And must now fulfil missions for a secret team. After finish the tutorial the player is sent to an apartment where you can, take on missions, or change their appearance. So far there is not a lot in PIGFACE for the apartment yet. To start a mission head on over to a laptop, it also lets you check out Bubba’s shop for gun and other items. Once a mission is selected, and we have left the apartment, the player is spawned into a fan where you can change the load out as you see fit.

Missions themselves usually have two objectives and one optional. And upon completion you will be rewarded with cash. You are able to find scarps of junk, tech, and tape to gain additional money. The combat itself is basic but fun, with allowing the player to carry one gun, one melee, and one special weapon. Like a mine for example. Healing is also down through morphine, or sometimes food that is left over. One last thing to mention are mask hidden, I assume in the levels. These will provide some little buffs to Exit when playing, but must be selected in the van before fully starting the mission.

Longevity
PIGFACE is really short but with minium replay-ability so far. I beat it in just under 2 hours and this was mainly thanks to the sniper rifle being such an amazing gun. The game is in early access, and even as of writing this review a new update called Penitentiary and Kick has been released. And they aim to release the full 1.0 game sometime this year. If you are curious a roadmap is up on their Steam page too, providing more information.
Final Thoughts
For as short as PIGFACE is, I love it! Environments are grungy, and depressing to look at. The gun-play is fluid, when switching to a melee weapon to throw at the enemy. Missions are short and sweet, and thanks to the fair amount of weapons, it is fun to replay levels to just blaze through. For the price they are asking I would highly suggest picking PIGFACE up now. Especially if early access is ending this year. Only issue I had, and it was more of a benefit than a problem. Was that I managed to clip throught the map making it easy to take out the forty enemies scattered around.
