If you enjoy travelling, but you really cant be without your gaming system, then the Bluetti Elite 200 V2 might be exactly what you need. A little portable power station that can help keep power running to your important appliances, as well as help you charge pretty much anything you need. Is it worth the lofty price tag though? I guess that really depends on your need case for this.
Elite Name, Elite Power Delivery
I said that the price is high, now at time of writing it was on sale at the Bluetti site for £899, with its normal price being £1,199. So its not cheap, but it does give a massive amount of power. Lets dive in and check out some of the highlights of this power station.
Design Features
Being a compact unit, the Bluetti Elite 200 V2 boasts a total capacity of 2073.6Wh with an AC output of 2600W. Now whilst this may just sound like numbers, lets break it down to something a bit more easily understood. That capacity allows you to fully charge your smartphone over 60 times. It allows a coffee machine (1000W model) to run constantly for 1.6 hours. Now THAT is a lot of coffee. Alternatively, if you need something cooler, you can run an ice maker (600W) for 2.6 hours.

Now when you look at it that way, you can just see how much this power station can achieve. With it being fully charged and ready to go in around 1.4 hours, add the solar panels that are optional extras and that does rise to around 2.4 hours. Come on though, thats using the sun to charge it up! With the right setup, you can even charge it directly from your car, ensuring that its always ready to go whatever the conditions. Heck, you can even simultaneously charge through the power outlet and solar panels, getting you fully charged even quicker.
So just what can you plug into the Bluetti Elite 200 V2? Firstly, you get 2 AC outlets so you can plug in your traditional plugged equipment. You also get 2 USB-A ports and 2 USB-C ports. Finally you get 12V/10A DC outlet for connecting to your car. So with all those outputs, you can definitely find the best use of the unit for your situation.
Use Case
There are a number of different situations where you could fully utilise the Bluetti Elite 200 V2. Whether you are camping, and looking to keep all your equipment charged, or keeping the wine nice and cool. Even if you are looking to go off-grid for a while. Match it up with the solar panels, and you can keep charging for full use through the night. The other option is if you live in an area where power cuts are prone, then you can use the Bluetti as a home backup. So if your power drops out, then the power station fires into action, keeping all those important appliances running during a blackout.

Being made of sturdy materials, it can keep going and going, along with built in protection to prevent overcurrent, overvoltage or even combustion. It keeps everything safe for operating and safe for over 6000 power cycles, it’s a unit that will keep outputting power until you don’t need it anymore.
Final Thoughts
So whilst it is an expensive piece of kit, the alternatives are stark in comparison. Do you want to sit in darkness with no way of contacting the outside world, with no way of boiling a kettle, or even running a microwave. Or do you want to be the envy of your neighbours, bring able to almost run a household without delay? I know what I would choose. Yes, its a chunk of change, but if you have kids or vulnerable people in your house, this could really be a life saver.
Not to mention if you enjoy camping in the wilderness, but you also need to keep devices charged, then the additional solar panels that are sold separately can keep you going for pretty much until the unit gives out.
The Bluetti Elite 200 V2 gets the Thumb Culture Gold Award.
