I’ve enjoyed video games for as long as I remember and I don’t think there isn’t a game I wouldn’t play. For reviews, I try my best to make them simple and easy to understand. With so many games released daily, I attempt to play them all.

Dead Format – PC Review

Who said VHS is dead? Clearly not the development team at Katanalevy. Since their, new game Dead Format is very much fresh and new on Steam. You can pick it up for £14.49 right now. What if video did really kill the radio star? Gameplay We play as a nameless guy, whose brother has magically disappeared. On arrival to his flat and looking through his clues to a gift he has left us, we uncover a GHL tape. Unlike a VHS tape, the GHL (otherwise called Ghoul) tape allows us to enter the tapes themselves. And as it always goes, the player begins to search for said brother, and uncover much more. Now, there is combat and healing item that you can find to aid you, and no need to worry as there is a lot scattered around. In addition to typical ammo, the player is able to fin number plates and ...

Unboxathon – PC Review

I'll be unpacking a new game created by Skye, it is called Unboxathon. The game looks simple, fun, and if you are looking to try before you buy, a demo is also out on Steam. It is tagged as a clicker game, so for any infamous Cookie Clicker fans, this is your time to shine. For more idler-type games, why not check some of the games Charlie has reviewed? Unpack and relax. Gameplay Unboxathon has the player opening random parcels to sell various trinkets. You can also save items for a passive income, by archiving them and placing them on a shelf in a different window. Additional shelves are purchased at the same window, but they will need Cogs. As the player accumulates money, there will be a good few sections to check out to further increase money. And with certain upgrades, new box...

Huntsman – PC Review

Fun fact, I have Arachnophobia, so why am I playing a game called Huntsman, that states it has giant arachnids. Well, because it's a horror game! So thank you to the team Onthehousestudios, for this horrible experience for me to undertake. If you are looking for your next horror game, or simply love spiders. Then Huntsman is available on Steam right now for £10.99. Why can't they just stay small? Gameplay There is little context for the player at the start of what is actually going on in Huntsman. We do know it is our first day, and that we can find notes that filling in more of the blanks. The game focus more on the scares and stealth, rather than running. Which thank god, because running will cause the spiders to react much quicker. The player can expect to navigate large rooms and ...

My Wife Threw Out My Card Collection (So I Bought a Dump to Find Them All) – PC Review

Here comes a brand-new game on Steam from the developers at Pmdk13. And the name being waaaay too long is... My Wife Threw Out My Card Collection (So I Bought a Dump to Find Them All). Let us hope some people don't take this name as advice for all the Pokémon card collectors out there. Now, the game is out now, and is priced at £6.49, which isn't too bad if I say so. But if you wish to support them as well, then the supporters pack will cost you £4.79. If you are looking for a game to just switch off too and isn't too pricey, might I suggest checking out my review for A Game About Digging A Hole? Oscar with have to relocate from grouch land for this. Gameplay We are welcomed with a brief text explaining the game, but I mean the title sums it up honestly. After that, we begin pickin...

The Last Case of John Morley – PC Review

I'll be attempting to uncover dark truths from 20 years ago in The Last Case of John Morley. It was created by Indigo Studios - Interactive Stories, and has us step into the shoes of the titular character John Morley. Will this truly be his last case? Who knows? See, thanks to this random hair I've found, clearly the perp doesn't close the door. Do you enjoy a mystery?  If you do, then you'll need to add this to your Steam wishlist! Gameplay Our character, John Morley, wakes up after sustaining an injury from his last case. He is then quickly discharged from the hospital and upon returning to his offices is approached by an elderly woman. Who requests that he look into a murder cold case at Bloomsbury Manor which occurred 20 years ago. We of course take the job, because you know a ...

UMAMI- PC Review

Christmas is creeping closer each day, and nothing beats wrapping up warm and relaxing with a new cosy game. For me, this comes with Mimmox's, newly released puzzle game called UMAMI. A game that will have solving 3D puzzled food served up by some adorable chefs. Make sure to play while eating something. UMAMI is out now on Steam for £11.99. Is this ne you've got on your Wishlist? Or is this brand new to you? Let us know in the comments, and tuck into this review. Gameplay UMAMI's gameplay is basically a jigsaw, but 3D. You pick up pieces that you are able to rotate. When finding the correct slot, the piece will become locked in. Which is great because I'd sometimes think the piece was in the correct spot only for it to pop off. Each level follows the theme of an adorable chef with...

Jump Space – PC Preview

Jump Space is a co-op, mission-based FPS that just launched into early access on Steam and Xbox. For this preview we got hands on with the PC version.  Gather up to three of your friends and follow developer Keepsake Games into the void of space. You'll crew your own ship, fight in space and on the ground, and work together against a spreading robotic corruption. Join the resistance today! Jump... and Shoot and Fly and Loot! Ok before we get into it, I need to own up to something. In my opinion the Jump to Lightspeed content in Star Wars Galaxies was peak for me. It was my first experience in an MMO and I absolutely loved getting into space on a ship of my own or as part of a crew for someone else. It was a highlight in my gaming experience that I will forever pursue to feel again. Wh...

Arctic Awakening – PC Review

If you're looking for a new story rich, narrative game, then you may have been looking at Arctic Awakening on Steam. The game is created and self-published by GoldFire Studios, and has us play as Kai, a pilot who crash lands with his companion therapy bot Alfie. We can expect to make hard choice and survive harsher weathers. You can survive anything with the right mindset. Arctic Awakening is out now on Steam, with an introductory 10% off until 25th September. Have you been keeping an eye on this game, if so, let me know in the comments below. Gameplay Arctic Awakening is at its core a walking simulator game. Players are able to pick up items, but besides food to stave off hunger, there isn't much need for carrying anything. Which is a shame since you can pick up almost everything ...

DAVY x JONES – PC Preview

Step into the boots of the folklore sea devil himself, in DAVY x JONES. This new action-adventure FPS is being created by PARASIGHT, and aims for action across the seas of the damned. I'm excited to be checking this game out after watching the trailers. It looks great, so hopefully the gameplay matches. You can pick up the game, which is currently in early access on Steam, for £8.50. Which isn't too bad of a price. Why don't we carve a new bloody legend for ourselves, eh? DAVY x JONES' story begins with a quick retelling of the titular character's grim fate at the hand of Edward Teach (Black Beard). Upon waking up in the Locker, which is an iconic location that comes with the tale of Davy Jones Locker, our head (Davey), and body (Jones), begin their plan to exact revenge on Black Beard a...

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion – PS5 Review

Like any smart person who aims to try a new franchise, I jumped into the second entry rather than the first. So here we go with my thoughts on Daemon X Machina: Titan Scion, a new entry developed by Marvelous Inc, and brings it more fast-paced, mech piloting action. Take to the battlefield in your own fully customizable Arsenal mech, alone or with up to four friends. I'm playing the PS5 version, and if you aim to pick it up, then the base game costs £54.99 with two other editions available. Most importantly, there is a demo out so you play before you pay. Not everyone can just buy a game for full price. Some GIFs may contain flashing images. Time to prep your Arsenal! Daemon X Machina: Titan Scion begins with a cutscene giving a brief history of the game's world. Once done, we get to ...
