Monster Hunter Wilds First Free Update Revealed

Monster Hunter Wilds will get its first free content update on April 4th. And with it, a new monster, a new hub and many more surprises! The update is available to all, so no need to worry about fighting alone.

A seasonal event will also be coming later in the month called Blossomdance. This will change the Grand Hub decorations and come with new meals. During the event you will earn gestures, camp decorations and more cool equipment as well!

The hunt continues!

As mentioned, a new monster enters the wilds called Mitsune, which look both majestic and fierce. And will be fighting for dominance against Uth Duna, in the Scarlet Forest. Zoh Shia will return and won’t be confined to the story anymore, which is great as I loved the fight in the game. A new hub with more Palicoes and ways to meet and team up with fellow hunters. The hub is going to be called the Grand Hub, and we will get to arm wrestle and bowl barrels with friends.

More Quests!

A new event quest comes to the Hunters Guild. And this time we’ve been authorized to hunt down an Arch Tempered Rey Dau! It will test your skills and reward you with a whole new set of armour and equipment. In addition to the event quests, we are getting Arena Quests. This one is new to me, but has appeared in the franchise before. Two Hunters with set equipment can test their speed and efficiency on hunts and then compare to other hunters around the globe.

Three characters each wearing different sets of armour. The armour is mainly blue with yellow accent and the armour itself is spikey. They all seem to be standing in a desert. — New hunts, new styles.

New DLC?

There will also be new free and paid DLC releasing as well. As part of the deluxe pack of the game, you can get a number of extra bonuses. These include gestures for use while playing, as well as some Seikret decorations and stickers. Alternatively some updated armour is included. Alma will also now be customisable from the camp menu too! Whilst this cosmetic pack will be free for those who own the Deluxe Edition of Monster Hunter Wilds, you will be able to pick it up separately.
