With a mixture of humour, drama and surrealism, are you ready to unravel this single-player 3D anime story? This is my truth! While I love a good mystery, I have never really played any recent anime games. I was intrigued to see what I had been missing all these years. With fresh, but older eyes, what would I make of Master Detective Archives: Rain Code? Gameplay Beginning with a cutscene, your character Yuma Kokohead races to board a train that is travelling to a city known as Kanai Ward. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Switch Review

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the latest game in the Zelda series and the much-anticipated sequel to 2017's Breath of the Wild (BotW). It is a single-player fantasy open-world RPG developed & published by Nintendo. Having been teased since E3 2019, fans have been chomping at the bit for Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). The game has sold over 10 million copies 3 days after release and even had the knock-on effect of BotW being a top seller again too. There were some strong opinions among players about Tears of the Kingdom being too similar to BotW but I feel fans won't be disappointed. I certainly wasn't as I found TotK is Breath of the Wild cranked up to 11 with its design and mechanics and the return of many familiar faces. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is...

Garden Simulator – Switch Review

Attention all green-fingered and single-player casual gamers! Garden Simulator is out now on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Developed by PRODUKTIVKELLER Studios, who seemingly like to shout their name out loud, it is time to have some fun carrying out virtual gardening. To Plant a Garden is to Believe in Tomorrow While gardening in real life is seen as a fairly chilled-out affair (most of the time), I was intrigued to see how the past time would translate to the digital world. Granted there would be no sweat, dirty hands or knees as well as vicious cuts from pruning roses! Gameplay In a nutshell, the idea of Garden Simulator is to make the most of your patch of land. You have inherited a cabin with a garden in the woods. With only one area unlocked, to begin with. You must ...

Unheard: Voices of Crime Edition – Switch Review

Unheard: Voices of Crime Edition by devs NExT Studios and published by 505 Games is an interesting game that mainly uses sound as its primary game mechanic. Available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, I was fortunate enough to put my ears to the test on the Switch version. Having not played a game like this since Jeff Tunnell's The Incredible Machine back in 1992 I could not wait to get started! Contraptions 2 - Testing That Brain! Once in a while, a game comes along and it just drains away time. Contraptions 2 is one of them! Today we will be looking at the Nintendo Switch version which will set you back £4.49/$4.99 at the time of writing and will require 346MB of storage. Not Quite Tetris in Name, Not Quite Tetris in Nature Everything from the name and the looks of the game tells you this is going to be something akin to Tetris. But no, not quite.
