The Shapeshifting Detective Review – Crime Thriller With A Twist

I knew nothing about The Shapeshifting Detective before I played it. I was expecting a game where you explore your environment, find clues and interact with NPC’s. It's not often that a game gives you a new experience. An unusual style of gameplay and a genuinely new experience. But after 4 hours of gameplay I had to sit back and recognise that, for me at least, this was something I had never encountered before. I knew I was well out of my comfort zone in gaming when I found myself trying to seduce my landlady’s secret lover to get him to confess to murdering someone else. A position I rarely find myself in. As you may know, I absolutely loved the Strange Brigade main game, check out the review here. So it was only natural that the latest DLC The Thrice Damned would be right up my street? Right? GRIP: Combat Racing Review – Too Fast…TOO Fast!

Before I start going into the review for GRIP: Combat Racing, I just want to leave a gif showing how it makes you feel. Now onto the review. Gameplay In simplistic terms, GRIP: Combat Racing is a track racer, with a splattering of arena combat thrown in for good measure. Loading up the game you are greeted with the main menu, where you can get access to the campaign, single player, online and split screen elements of the game as well as the garage where you can customise your cars with decals and new colourings. Diving into the campaign, you essentially go through tiers of events designed to ease you into the game as well as challenge your skills as a racer. Heliophobia Review – Dreams Can Become Nightmares

Here we are again. Halloween is here again, everyone digs out their horror games or treats themselves to a new one. Luckily enough for me I got treated to a new game to enter the horror genre. Heliophobia is a game by Glass Knuckle Games and is available on Steam. Gameplay Heliophobia drops you straight into the game to give you that added sense of mystery. The terrain that the competitors traverse is much tougher than that used in conventional rallying, and the vehicles used are true off-road vehicles rather than modified on-road vehicles.
