One True Hero – PC Review

One True Hero is a quirky fantasy action/adventure game from Rat Cliff Games released on 20th October 2022. The game is available to buy with a 20% launch discount on Steam right now. I got the chance to recently journey through the world the game has to offer. After seeing the trailer boasting quirky gameplay, comic/cartoon animations and tons of humour, I felt I had to play it. DIAMONDS! EVEN MORE DIAMONDS!... OH, AND SOME ADVENTURING. Plucked from obscurity, the one true hero happens to be an everyday farmer! Chosen by mystical forces he is set on a quest to save the lands in which he lives. A common adventure game trope and the game developers know it. Regardless, I buy into that story time and time again. Do you enjoy action/adventures where the underdog gets chosen to go onto bigge...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II – PC Review

Another year passes and just like the new moon a new Call of Duty game appears. This time however with the rather confusing title of Modern Warfare II, no not a remake of Modern Warfare 2 from 2009, but a direct sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot of 2019. With a brand new engine from Infinity Ward powering the game there was lots to look forward to, once I had downloaded the required 31.5GB, surprising small for a Call of Duty game! Is this a change that will stay for good or when multiplayer and Warzone 2.0 come along will this file size grow to over 100GB? Who knows! Lets hope not! Anyway enough about file sizes, in this review I will covering just the Campaign element of the game. That is because the lucky souls (that's me!) who pre-ordered/got a review key were able to access th...

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia – PC Review

The Last Hero of Nostalgaia is an action-adventure from game developers Over the Moon released 19th October 2022 available now on Steam. This dark fantasy adventure gives a satirical spin on the Dark Souls games, especially Elden Ring, but with their own spin on the theme. THE HERO THIS RETRO WORLD NEEDS Having spent many an hour playing through (and mostly dying a lot) in Elden Ring this lighter quirkier take on the franchise seemed interesting. From the game trailers and promotional images, the game looks fun and all the right kinds of weird. If you like your less serious adventures, let us know in the comments below, and name your favourite.   Gameplay The game introduces you subtly at the start to the premise. You are the saviour... maybe not the one they counted on or asked fo...

Available across PC, Xbox and PlayStation it is available to buy now. Way Of The Hunter - One To Scope Out Being a fan of hunting titles, I could not wait to check out Way Of The Hunter. It looks like it is aiming high! But the question is - Will it hit the target? Gameplay Join me on a little adventure as I pick up Way Of The Hunter on PC for the first time. Final Thoughts Way Of The Hunter does have potential, however with the high bar set by the Hunter: Call Of The Wild, there is some catching up and improving for it to do. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't completely write this title off. However, for now, I prefer Hunter: Call Of The Wild. ...

One of the first games I remember playing on PlayStation 1 was Crash Bandicoot. Trifox reminds me quite a lot of that game with it's colorful aesthetic and witty character.
