We have something great to show off. Nacon have recently unveiled some awesome kit. Starting with the Revosim Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team customisation kit, but they’ve also just shown off some new add-ons for their Nacon Revosim ecosystem. We were lucky enough to get sent these before release. So we’ve been playing around with them for a short while, and I have to admit, they are pretty special.
Revosim Revolutionises Sim Racing
We’re going to cut down each new piece of kit into it’s own section. Giving you the big important details and features as well as the pricing if you want to pick up a bundle.
Revosim Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team Custom Set
Coming in it’s own box, as shown above, you get a set of customisation options to change your standard RS Pure Steering Wheel, into a badass F1 style wheel. A 30cm diameter wheel made from rubber for a great comfortable grip. With its open top design, it’s designed to give you a clear view of any smartphone running the dashboard feature of the mobile app.

Installation was super easy, with the included Allen keys, you remove the screws from the centre of the standard wheel, and then you just fit the new Revosim Aston Martin wheel back together. Also included in the set are a pair of carbon fiber shifter paddles, again easily installed to the wheel. The final main part is the magnetic centre cap. Featuring the Aston Martin logo, a strong magnet ensures that it doesn’t rattle around, even during intense racing.
You don’t just get wheel upgrades, you also get a set of Aston Martin Racing gloves. These don’t come as standard and come as an extra, but they are super comfy. With a material designed to give greater grip on the wheel during racing. Not only that, but the material is touchscreen compatible, so you are able to change your dashboard on the app whilst racing. The final additions are a sticker set, and replacement keycaps. As well as a set of decorative strips that allow you to add to the wheelbase, giving a nice bit of green flair.

RS Pure Load Cell Handbrake
The first in the new add-ons is the RS Pure Load Cell Handbrake. Whilst not something that you usually make use of when sim racing. There are a few instances where a handbrake comes in handy. For example, playing rally games, you quite often will have to pull a handbrake as you try to get around hairpin corners. Featuring a full metal casing the handbrake feels sturdy. With plenty of mounting options, it can be set up in any racing configuration.

With a 150kg load cell sensor, the unit accurately replicates any pressure applied, ensuring control with every motion. You can also change the brake resistance by changing the elastomers and spring, ensuring you get the perfect setup for whatever game you are playing. Even the orientation of the handbrake can be changed, either vertical or horizontal mounting is possible.
RS Pure Hybrid Gearbox
Probably the most intricate piece of the new add-ons, the RS Pure Hybrid Shifter. This shifter gives you both a realistic 8-speed H-patterned shifter as well as a sequential shifter, all in one metal box. With the switch on the side of the unit, you can flip between setups quickly and easily.

The shifting with this unit was solid, regardless of H or SQ the unit gives great feedback to ensure reliability in every movement. Having 2 different shift knobs included, both a round knob and a metal lever there is something for everyone. With an entire metal chassic and structure, you get crisp shifts, as well as being able to fully adjust the resistance by using an Allen key you can get the feel to be perfect.
RS Pure Clutch Pedal
The final piece of the puzzle is the RS Pure Clutch Pedal. Pure and simple, this is an extra pedal to add alongside the brake and accelerator of the Revosim Pedals. Again made from durable metal construction, it offers a new sensation. Easy to install, you can be up and running in as little as 10 minutes. Alongside the adjustable resistance with the different springs, you can also adapt the pedal to your driving style. You can change the height, travel and angle to ensure it sits perfect alongside your other pedals.

To get going you just collect an RJ12 cable to the RS Pure Brake Pedal. Personally, I don’t do a lot of racing that requires a clutch, but its nice to have all three pedals on the racing frame. Giving a little more realism as it replicates a real-life car.
RS Pure
All of these add-ons would be nothing without the RS Pure setup. I’ve been fortunate to have tested the wheel for quite some time, and I honestly have been blown away. Featuring a 9Nm Direct Drive wheel base delivers incredibly track fidelity alongside smoothly delivered force feedback. Being made from aluminium, this helps ensure that heat is dissipated brilliantly to ensure no components get overheated. With a whole bunch of ports on the back for all the add-ons you can get a brilliant setup. The only thing that I will say is that the wheel base is a heavy sucker. But what do you expect when it’s made from high-quality materials?
Alonside the wheel base, you get the RS Pure Steering Wheel, measuring 30 cm in diameter, you get a comfortable perforated synthetic leader covering. Ensuring comfort for long races as well as giving you the grip needed so you don’t make any mistakes. Alongside 12 mappable buttons you can get it setup however you please, and with 4 on board profiles, you can have something for everything.

The brake and accelerator pedal are made of the same high quality metal. Offering stability as well as incredible durability, especially if you are going to be pressing each pedal many many times. The brake also comes with a 100kg Load Cell sensor to allow a more realistic feel.
App Power
All the add-ons, can be adjustable in the Revosim App, allowing you to edit the force feedback, braking curves, as well as being able to share and download setup profiles. You can even connect the base to a mobile app via bluetooth and adjust the settings on the fly. Meaning if you need a little bit more force feedback while in game, just head to the pits and change it quickly and easily.

Final Thoughts
The whole setup is incredible. I have enjoyed every minute of testing each piece of equipment to the point where I’ve signed up to iRacing. For their first foray into the Sim Racing world, Nacon have done an incredible job with the Revosim. Featuring features that are usually reserved for higher-end pieces of kit. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s still expensive, but for what you get, you are actually getting a really good deal.

The inclusion of the collaboration and customisation kit from Aston Martin has elevated the standard black colouring to a whole new audience. The wheel is no longer basic, but colourful and vibrant. All that is left for me to say is that I can’t wait to get back on track.
The Entire Revosim range from Nacon gets the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.
