Blue Prince – PC Review

Blue Prince is an adventure, puzzle, strategy game developed by Dogubomb and published by Raw Fury. You can grab your copy from Steam for £25. There was a lot of advertising for this game before it's release, but what caught my attention was the puzzles. Puzzles alone weren't the only things that interested me however, but the fact the game reminded me of the board game, Betrayal at House on the Hill. And if you like that board game, then play this game but don't worry about any supernatural things… maybe. Room for everyone Much like within Betrayal at House on the Hill in Blue Prince which rooms appear will make or break the run. And boy did my runs get broken because of RNGesus not being on my side! The other thing that kept me playing was the mystery behind someone's disappearance. Bu...

Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy [Remake] – PC Review

Return to Latin America once again in the Remake of Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy. I didn’t play the game when it originally released back in 1999, so I’m looking forward to seeing what Microids has for me. Anyone who has played it before can look forward to some major visual/graphical improvements. Rediscovering An Enjoyable Adventure Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy will be out on Steam April 24th for £34.90, with the Digital Deluxe costing £43.99. This will net you a media book, some artwork, and, most interesting, a couple of animated short stories. If that sounds good to you, then click here. Gameplay Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy is a point & click-style game with the player looking around the environment solving puzzles. We play as a no-named journalist, who is invi...

The Fool’s Apprentice – PC Review

The Fool's Apprentice is a brand-new cosy management game developed by The Planar Danse that just released on Steam. Take on the role of a prestigious Arcanist and try your very best to get some knowledge into the heads of your rather unskilled students, no matter what it takes. Fool Me Once… When I first saw the trailer and read about the general premise of the game, I was quite excited! Magic and management, two things that are fun on their own but now combined! Until I actually launched the game… but more on that later. For now, let's look at the gameplay, shall we? Gameplay The Fool's Apprentice tasks you with educating and managing a group of unskilled apprentices. You manage their skills, build Research, respond to multiple choice Dilemmas and more! The game is all about stra...

Within the standard version you will progressively unlock more buildings and islands by building and increasing the population of your world. There’s something truly magical about diving into a new world. Pilo and the Holobook, out now on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, invites you to do just that. Developed by Mudita Games and published by RedDeer Games, this exploration-based adventure swaps swords for stickers and combat for curiosity. Set across a mesmerising, hand-painted galaxy, the game follows Pilo, an apprentice explorer armed with nothing, but a Holobook and a big heart, as they document the wonders of the universe and tackle a creeping corruption known as the Tar. What unfolds is a peaceful, creative journey that encourages discovery, observation, and empathy—perfect for players who want a break from endless battles and high-octane mayhem. This book is worth putting stickers in I was excited to play this becau...

Train Sim World 5: Thomas & Friends – PC Review

As a train lover, I grew up with Thomas the Tank Engine. So when Dovetail Games announced a Thomas & Friends pack, I was excited. No, that doesn't do it justice. I was over the moon. My head derailed with a million different thoughts of what could be. Thankfully, now we have the Train Sim World 5: Thomas & Friends DLC. How Does Thomas Eat? He Chew-Chews While you might be hoping to journey around Sodor, unfortunately, that isn't the case. Which brings us onto something to be aware of. You MUST own the West Somerset Railway pack to be able to utilise the Thomas & Friends pack. Now we've got that out of the way, let's get down to business. Gameplay Thomas and his friends, Diesel, Annie and Clarabel have travelled to West Somerset. After Sir Topham Hatt receives an invitation,...

Crashlands 2 – PC Review

It’s not every day you crash-land into a sequel brewing in the shenanigan-shaped minds of Butterscotch Shenanigans. Crashlands 2 brings back our favourite intergalactic trucker, Flux Dabes; now older, wiser, and more than a bit crispy from corporate burnout. After a morally questionable marketing stint with the Bureau of Shipping, Flux returns to the alien planet Woanope for some R&R. Naturally, that idea lasts all of five seconds before chaos erupts, and you’re nose-deep in alien flora again. Now, before you get flashbacks of freezing in Don’t Starve Together, let me reassure you: Crashlands 2 is like the cosy, weird cousin who shows up with biscuits and chaos. It’s a survival game, sure, but with fewer existential crises and more synthwave glick-glicks. Let’s dive into this surv...

Game Over A Musical RPG?? – PC Review

You may be reading the title and wondering just what this is. A Musical RPG, I hear you ask. Why yes, that is indeed the title, Game Over A Musical RPG??. Releasing on 11 April on Steam the game is developed and published by solo dev Jake Houston. This might just become your new favourite rhythm game. That's right, RPG now stands for Rhythm Playing Game! The Rhythm Might Just Get You I considered myself quite a musical person. However, once playing through this, I knew that I might have bitten off more than I could chew. I pressed on and managed to get somewhere. Let's go and check out more of the game. Gameplay Having been developed over a 8 year period, Game Over A Musical RPG?? has a lot of gameplay to it. The first thing that I found incredibly impressive was the use of sound. I kn...

Atomfall – PC Review

Atomfall has been out for almost two weeks, and I've been playing the game quite a bit. You might have checked out our exclusive preview article previously, but now it's time to do a proper review. So sit back relax as we venture into the North of England and find out just what might have been. Lead The Way As with the preview article, I don't really want to give away too much of the game. I honestly feel that this game is best going in blind, but that's no good for a video game review. So what I'm going to do is try and keep it as vague as possible. Just talk about some of the mechanics involved in the game. If you want to know anything about the story, then check out the preview article. Gameplay Atomfall is a vast game, there are a number of areas that you can explore. Discovery is ...
