DOOM: The Dark Ages – PC Review

DOOM: The Dark Ages is an Action, First Person Shooter from the same brains behind the rest of the DOOM series, id Software. Thankfully the funds from Bethesda Studios have the cup run over for how great this game turned out. DOOM: The Dark Ages is a prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal. If you're wondering if you can play this DOOM before the others, yes however I would always start with the older games first. All you lost lambs that are entering the DOOM series with DOOM: The Dark Ages, I have one thing to say... Rip and tear...Rip and Tear...RIP and Tear...RIP AND Tear...RIP AND TEAR...RIP AND TEAR!!!!!!!! For everyone out of the loop or they're reading this review to see if DOOM is right for them, sit down, because I got a tale to rip and tear right into you. Gameplay The...

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping – PC Review

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping is an Adventure game made by Happy Broccoli Games. This game is a sequel to Duck Detective: The Secret Salami which you can read our review of here. I honestly didn't expect to get so absorbed and invested into a game that looks simplistic, yet fun. Heck, having the option to just quack whenever I want honestly gave this game a wing up. By my DeDucktion, you will all be getting this game Releasing tomorrow (23rd May) on Steam, let's see if this game is all it's quacked up to be. Spoilers, it is. Gameplay The game starts you as Duck Detective. In the middle of a depressive spiral, we learn how to play the game. Collecting words from things around the room to better solve deducktions. Once you solve your first one, you'll start to understand the ...

Grandma, No! – PC Review

Grandma, No! is an adventure RPG made by Wallride with the assistance of Super Rare Originals. This heavily physics-driven game contains the most chaotic fun I've had in a long time. This is largely due to the throwing of objects by either me or my Grandson. Even just doing normal chores would still guarantee chaos in the end. Grandma… Why is your award-winning pie in the freezer, in a box labelled 'Costco'? My time with Grandma was shorter than I would have liked, but that won't stop me from writing an honest review. I'm just not letting her anywhere near my keyboard or PC! Gameplay The mechanics in Grandma, No! aren't unique, but the gameplay and story are. Grandma's son calls us to tell us that he and his wife are going to need a babysitter because they are heading to a nude bea...

Rusty Rabbit – PC Review

Rusty Rabbit is an action-adventure RPG from developers NITRO PLUS with publishing assistance from SoFun. I originally saw a glimpse of this game during Steam NextFest in Spring of last year. While the game's premise and mechanics had me slightly excited, it was the fact that Kazuma Kiryu's Japanese voice actor was voicing the main protagonist, Stamp, that cemented my need to play it. I entered fanboy mode hard over that fact alone. It's been a long while since I got to enjoy collecting Junk again. Let's cut the chatter and figure out if this game is great or a McGregor. Gameplay You start out as the rabbit known as Stamp. A junk/mech fanatic rabbit existing in a world that seems like our Earth, but going through a second Ice Age. With a world consisting of just rabbits and 'rust b...

Freeride – PC Review

Wacky characters and some destructive scenarios await in Freeride. Developed by Flightyfelon Games Inc and published with help from Future Friends Games, the game releases on Steam today (1st May). ALL ABOARD, NEXT STOP! MY FEELS GETTING RAN OVER LIKE A PIECE OF PAPER!!! This game is more of a personality test masquerading as an RPG adventure. And it doesn't hide it either. When I say it cane be destructive too, I mean it in the literal sense. Though the trip is short, we've got multiple routes to the same destination. I'll make sure to keep this review completely spoiler-free. Gameplay Freeride has you playing as Proto. He's just minding his own business at the train station until he gets a text message. Responding to the text or not is the first of many choices within the game. I...

Blue Prince – PC Review

Blue Prince is an adventure, puzzle, strategy game developed by Dogubomb and published by Raw Fury. You can grab your copy from Steam for £25. There was a lot of advertising for this game before it's release, but what caught my attention was the puzzles. Puzzles alone weren't the only things that interested me however, but the fact the game reminded me of the board game, Betrayal at House on the Hill. And if you like that board game, then play this game but don't worry about any supernatural things… maybe. Room for everyone Much like within Betrayal at House on the Hill in Blue Prince which rooms appear will make or break the run. And boy did my runs get broken because of RNGesus not being on my side! The other thing that kept me playing was the mystery behind someone's disappearance. Bu...

Assassin’s Creed Shadows PC Review

Assassin's Creed Shadows is an Action, Adventure, RPG developed and published by Ubisoft. This game is a part of the Assassin's Creed franchise that's first started way back in 2007. Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC, I got my hands on a PC copy to review. Sneak and make sure to not get caught. But if you do, leave no witnesses! I originally played the first game in the series, yet stopped when I finished Assassin's Creed Revelations. I would have played more, but I just wasn't able to move on after playing three games with Ezio Auditore. No joke, I still say "Requiescat in pace" when I play any game with an assassin in it. Or when I pretend to surprise/kill any of my friends when I sneak up on them. But, let's not get side tracked with memory lane. AC Shadows was met with a lot...

Nintendo Switch 2 Direct

After months of waiting on more information on what to expect from the Switch 2. We got given an hour of information. And boy bloody howdy not only were we fed, I felt like I was at a buffet after all those reveals. Not only did they show and tell us about these updates, but game titles we didn't know about. Especially for my Skong siblings who can honestly stop being deniers and become believers again. Welcome to the Switch 2: Magnetic Boogaloo! CAUTION: We've hit code silk. So, after much rumors and many predictions we didn't know if we should trust or not. The Switch 2 Direct was set free to the world to watch and enjoy. With a few visual hiccups that you had to be there to witness. But, let me go ahead start with the star of the show being the Nintendo Switch 2. I will only cover the...

Rise of the Ronin PC Review

Rise of the Ronin is an Action, Adventure, RPG that's developed and published by KOEI TECMO. Creators of the Atelier series, Dynasty Warriors, Ninja Gaiden and some other titles I've had years of playing. There was controversy attached to this title, but it's mostly due to Sony not releasing the game in South Korea. There's no official reason provided as to why this was done. But this was only happening for owners of a PS5. With the experience KOEI TECMO has with making a game that has anything to do with ancient Asian history. On top of the combat experience, thanks to the Ninja Gaiden franchise experience. Heck, they even give people who get the game before April 2nd to get some moves and items from Ninja Gaiden. So, if you see this review and want that bonus, do it quickly. Be in th...

Everhood 2 – PC Review

Everhood 2 is an Action, Adventure, RPG that was developed by Foreign Gnomes. This game is the sequel to the previous Everhood. At first, I thought this game was going to almost never reference the previous game, but they do. In a major way that I'm not going to spoil much of what I saw. Yet, I will say this now, that if you have photosensitive epilepsy, you'll have to avoid this game like the plague. In the previous Everhood, Foreign Gnomes had us in the most emotional kung fu grip I have ever been in since Undertale. They started out with us learning how to dodge attacks and survive each encounter passively. Until halfway through when they rip the rug from under you and learn how to do something off script. Once that begins, we're on the emotional rollercoaster until the very end. ...
