Transpose Review – Is It The 21st Century Tron?

Well, here we are, 2019 and my first review of the year. I hope you all survived the festivities and are geared up for an exciting year for gaming. Transpose is an immersive VR puzzle game brought to us by Toronto based developer Secret Location and is available on PSVR and Steam.  For the purpose of this review I am looking at the PSVR version. Gameplay Transpose is not just another PSVR game, it's not a generic puzzle game either. Transpose really has you thinking outside the box a lot of the time. I found this game to be a lot of fun once I got past the tutorial. The tutorial feels mind-numbing and feels like it takes forever, however this is much-needed if you want to be any good at this game. Transpose is all about bending time and gravity so you can manipulate it to compl...

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 Review – Racing On The Go

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is a racing game developed by Eden Games and published by Microids for the Nintendo Switch. Being just over a year since the release of the first Gear.Club Unlimited, how does the "little engine that could" handle racing on the small screen? Let's dive in and find out. Gameplay Diving into the game you are given a small tutorial as to what you can expect during the main career mode, most likely where you will spend the majority of your time. Pick your first car and then take it out for a spin. Eventually you get introduced to your garage or club where you will get the chance to build your empire. This club is where you take your car to carry out upgrades to stay up to pace with the crowd. Adding blocks using upgrade points allows you to install the foll...

Plantronics RIG 500 Pro ESports Edition Review – Sounds Good?

We were recently lucky enough to get sent a set of these awesome headphones to review and what better way to review them than to use them across all devices, and across all media types. So without further ado, I present to you the Plantronics RIG 500 Pro ESport Edition! So taking them out of the box was straight forward, after mere seconds you are greeted with the beautiful metal exoskeleton of the RIG 500 and I was immediately surprised at how light the headset was. Weighing in at 323g it feels incredibly lightweight, weighing less than my Astro A40 headset. The dual material ear cushions felt great to the touch as well as the volume dial built into the headphone jack. So if you are connecting direct to your PS4 or Xbox controller you have the volume control right at your finger ...

Last Year: The Nightmare – Scary in the 90’s

Last Year: The Nightmare from Elastic Games comes first as a timed exclusive to Discord. This 6 player 5 v 1 survival horror takes a look at high school and some 90's themes. How does it fair up against some other great asymmetric survival horror games out at the moment? Lets get scared! Gameplay Last Year: The Nightmare takes place on Halloween night of 1996 where a group of teenagers wake up to find themselves trapped in a nightmarish reflection of their home town of Forest Hills. Spanning across the East Side High School Campus this band of teenagers are being hunted by a number of fearsome killers hellbent on capturing and killing each of the teenagers. So who are these teenagers that you will be taking control of and trying to save? Well there is Chad the Jock, Nick the Ner...

2084 Early Access PC Preview – A Cyberpunk FPS

I was lucky enough to have an early access copy of 2084 from Feardemic which is currently available on Steam.  I had not played their previous title The Padre but I was keen to see what the game had in store. It's a cyberpunk FPS with some interesting looking hacking mechanics that can be used throughout the game - but how different are they to what is already out there? Gameplay When loading 2084, you are only presented with a ‘New Game’ option.  Upon starting the game, you are then brought to a tutorial where you are taught the controls and learn how to jump, shoot and throw grenades. One of the promoted aspects of the game is the hacking mechanics. The tutorial showed how to hack but it wasn't as straightforward as I expected it to be (but perhaps that’s the nature of hacking?...

Roccat Kone Pure Owl-Eye Review – Ice Ice Baby

Gaming mice come in all shapes and sizes along with a vast array of extra buttons bringing with them additional functionality.  The burning question is however "Which mouse is best for you?"  Having taken a look previously at the Roccat Kone Aimo Gaming Mouse earlier in Summer that featured 12 buttons and a mesmerising lighting job how would Roccat's latest gaming mouse fare? Ladies and Gents I give you the Roccat Kone Pure Owl-Eye, now available in white. Sitting infront of my PC screen the first thing that stands out is the illuminated colour changing Roccat logo located where your palm rests onto the mouse.  The vibrant pulsing emblem stands out well against the white of the mouse and begins to get positive comments from staff walking by. The main job of the Kone Pure...
