Have you ever been in a situation where you have a power cut? Or worse, you are stranded in the middle of nowhere and have no way to even boil a kettle. Now I know all that is not an everyday occurrence, and really if you are in that predicament you probably wont be lugging around a power station, but just hear me out. I present to you the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 1500 Power Station. This absolute power house of…power. And it might be the solution you are after.
More Speed, More Power
This is probably the biggest and most challenging piece of hardware that I’ve ever received. Thankfully with having kids in the house, there was plenty of opportunity to test the power station in various situations. Massive thanks to VTOMAN for sending us one of these units! If you want to get your hands on one head to their website. After you’ve read this review of course.
Design
First thing to cover is the weight. It is just shy of 19kg, which is pretty hefty, but when you dive into the specs, you can understand why. From a design standpoint, it’s nothing to write home about, it’s a big cube with lots of ports for plugging things in.
In the box, you get a couple of USB cables, a car charging cable as well as the AC charging cable. Then a nice little user manual to explain what all the doohikys and thingamybobs are for. Personally, I was able to figure out the majority of the settings without any issue. It is almost a case of plug and play. It’s this easy to use design that really would appeal to a wide variety of people.
With a huge 1548Wh capacity, you can power so much. That capacity can be enhanced with the additional battery that is purchasable on the VTOMAN website. You can even purchase a solar panel so that you can keep it charging even when you are away from any power outlets. Meaning this power station is the camping family’s dream gadget.

Output
The VTOMAN FlashSpeed 1500 has 12 outputs available. With 3 AC outputs available for your usual appliances. This ran whatever was thrown at it. The first test was a simple camping scenario, the teepee was erected, the power station put inside, and then the Edifier QD35 Speaker (review here) plugged in. This barely touched the capacity of the power station. The little screen on the unit displays the current capacity percentage and the estimated remaining hours at the current usage. Needless to say that we could have kept the speaker going for some 90+ hours. Although not sure how appreciative the neighbours would have been.
Moving onwards, we made use of the power station by plugging in kettles, TVs, Games Consoles, and all absolutely breezed through the test. But I wanted more, I wanted another real-world scenario. It was time to mow the lawn. So the teepee got taken down, and the lawnmower was dragged out of the shed. Putting the power station on the patio, plugging in the mower and away I went. I’m pretty sure that it said I had around 20 hours of constant mowing if I had fancied it.
Aside from that, we charged mobile devices and tablets using the USB ports. There are 5 in total. 3 of the USB-A variety, with one quick charge 3.0 output. Then 2 USB-C output ports as well.
Extras
On top of the above, as I previously mentioned, there is also the option of connecting a solar panel to the power station. Turning this into a self-charging unit, which is perfect for those people who find themselves camping regularly.

The VTOMAN FlashSpeed 1500 can even come to the rescue if your vehicle battery runs dry. Just connect up some jump cables and away you go. Obviously, all these extras are additonal purchases available from the company’s website. If you are serious about keeping one of these, then it honestly could be worth your while.
One of the most impressive feats of the power station is the ability to charge to full in an hour. Honestly, this unit has so many potential uses, it’s incredible.
Final Thoughts
If you are in the market for a portable power station, then honestly, VTOMAN are worth checking out. Whether it’s to make sure you have an uninterrupted power supply if there is a blackout. Or if you go camping regularly and are looking to upgrade your setup.
The VTOMAN FlashSpeed 1500 has so many uses that it’s a pretty important piece of kit. Personally I didn’t think that I’d ever need one of these until I got one. Now I use it for so many things, even just around the house. Another bonus being for long drives with the kids, pop it in the boot with a couple of long USB cables and it keeps the kids happy and their tablets charged!
The VTOMAN FlashSpeed 1500 receives the Thumb Culture Platinum Award. It truly is an impressive piece of tech.
