November on PlayStation – Week 4

November on PlayStation is closing out, but hey at least we're that step closer to the festive season! December is on the horizon and we still have some nice titles launching before the years out. Looking back over 2024 what has been your favourite title? Let me know in the comment section below. Neon Blood (PS5, PS4) – November 26th In 2053, humanity lives in Viridis, a sprawling acropolis divided into two starkly contrasting cities. Bright City is an opulent haven of skyscrapers and advanced technology for the elite, while Blind City is a desolate area with crumbling infrastructure, where the underprivileged struggle for survival amidst rampant inequality. You play as Axel McCoin, an idealistic detective determined to seek justice and change. Inspired by the disparity between the tw...

LEGO Horizon Adventures Comes To LEGO?!

It's been a while since we had some cool gaming related LEGO news to gush about. Like our review of the LEGO Fortnite Peely Bone set last month. Ahem. But today, the LEGO Group announced the launch of a new playset based on the recently-released game LEGO Horizon Adventures. This means, that we'll soon get to enjoy Aloy and Varl adventuring in virtual and physical brick form! As a big fan of the now retired LEGO Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck set, I am really excited abut this news. Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth - Set 77037 This machine-monster toy LEGO gaming set includes two minifigures: Aloy and her loyal ally Varl. Aloy carries a bow and Varl carries a spear. These weapons can be upgraded with small bricks to give the look of fire, chill or shock attacks. Just l...

Mass Effect N7 Day 2024 Round-Up

November 7th, known as N7 Day, is a significant day in the calendar of Mass Effect fans. 'N7' refers to the in-universe military designation used by Earth's System Alliance, assigned to trilogy protagonist Commander Shepard and Mass Effect: Andromeda character Alec Ryder, among others. On this day each year, Mass Effect developer BioWare tends to release new merchandise or updates on the franchise. In previous years, these information drops have focused on teasing the next game in the franchise, including an event last year that saw fans deciphering clues to earn snippets from a new teaser video. However, following the recent release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard (DA:TV), BioWare tempered expectations leading into N7 Day by saying this year would be "quieter". Quieter does not mean silen...

But what was exhibited gave gamers plenty to be excited about for the end of the year and the beginning of 2025. So, without further ado, here are five standout demos from Steam Next Fest October 2024 aka the last Next Fest of 2024: Kill The Shadow Developer: Shadow Light Sanctuary Publisher: 663 Games Genre: Adventure/RPG/Puzzle Planned Release Date: 2024 Platforms: PC A game that blends detective work, a complex story and the supernatural and throw...

Thumb Soldiers – Accessibility For All

If you've been gaming for some time, you have probably seen accessibility products doing the rounds. Companies claim their products help people with accessibility issues, but many fall short. Now I will tell you right now, I am a perfectly able-bodied gamer. Albeit I wear glasses to play. My partner is a disabled gamer but again her accessibility needs are not physical. I love gaming and I am an advocate for bringing gaming to everyone. A dream that David Chapman, the Inventor and Founder of Thumb Soldiers sought to bring to reality. No Fingers All Thumb...Soldiers I could fill out the whole article with the backstory of the product, explaining why David created the Thumb Soldiers, what inspired him originally, and where it ended up. But that would just be a boring reiteration of their w...
