0 ICYMI, today was the annual Sonic Central livestream. A livestream dedicated to all things Sonic the Hedgehog. Ahem. And it’s where the LEGO Group revealed two new sets as part of the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog play set range. That’s a mouthful to say. Even without a chilli dog!
Gotta Build Fast
With the launch of the LEGO Shadow the Hedgehog Bust just a week away, it’s the perfect time to build on the LEGO Sonic hype. Especially as one of these new sets also features the ultimate lifeform himself! The two sets announced were Sonic’s Campfire Clash (set 77001) and Super Shadow vs. Biolizard (set 77003). Of course this announcement was done in style. In none other than a very special call between LEGO Sonic, LEGO Shadow and LEGO Dr. Eggman! LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic’s Campfire Clash – Set 77001
Join Sonic as he relaxes in front of a cosy campfire. Of course it’s not long before he’ll need to protect the Chaos Emerald and save Tocky from the villainous clutches of G.U.N. Beetle and G.U.N. Hunter! This set is small but features some nice play features. Including a buildable campfire area, G.U.N. Beetle robot drone, posable G.U.N. Hunter robot figure, speed sphere launcher and speed sphere. There’s a Sonic minifigure and a Tocky turtle minifigure. Of course it wouldn’t be a LEGO Sonic set without some Gold Rings and a Chaos Emerald too!

The LEGO Sonic The Hedgehog sets (still quite a mouthful) is a fast expanding range I don’t see slowing down anytime soon. My 8 year old son loves Sonic almost as much as my 30 year old brother. And that’s the magic of this range! These particular sets are due to go on sale from January 1st, 2025. And I can see some kids and adults alike saving their Christmas money for these!
